Dr A has done it again. This easy-to-read guide starts off with a bang. By Chapter 2 you have completed two short health/healthy habit assessments that let you clearly see where your current habits & daily choices have gotten you. Then Dr A offers you simple solutions and daily choices to create a healthier life. There is no preaching or making you feel like a failure if you are not where you "should" be in relation to your health. In fact, there are no "should" in the book. It's all about helping you decide whether you are ready to make the "choice" to create health. If so, this is a great place to start. I started this book on a plane trip to Dallas and finished it on the way home. That's how compelling (and easy to read) it was. Get a copy for yourself. It's well worth the small investment. Thanks, Dr. A, for creating another tool to change the shape of America, one person at a time.

Highly recommend! I have been floundering with "weight loss" for years! The problem was just that - I was trying to lose weight, and I didn't have the willpower to do it. Dr. Andersen makes it so simply clear that I was focused on the wrong thing. This is a quick, easy read - but the results for me will be life-changing. I now know how to utilize the power of my desire to fuel the commitment to myself.

I am a fan of Dr. A's so it's no surprise that I enjoyed his book.  The book is excellent for getting you healthy, all over, step by step.  He has the tools in this book to help those who have no idea how to start, and get them on the road to "Optimal Health."  This guy knows what he is talking about.  He  specialized in cardiology, and knows what works for those who need to lose weight, as well.  You won't regret this book.  It's excellent and easy to read.

This book helps ignite the desire within to make change to create the life we all desire. Although it may be different for everyone, the steps are clear, supportive and forgiving. I love that he addresses awareness of internal dialogue as well. This book will help to create a longer, healthier life. I'm Loving it!

Supercharger of your potential to change dramatically and in a positive way. Dr. Wayne Andersen captures the essence of taking control of your own health and making you accountable to reach better health and, in fact, if you follow him - optimal health. The book is an easy but powerful read and I definitely recommend it to everyone that cares about their own health and the health of those around them. Get this book - digest this book intellectually and in your daily life - and PASS IT ON! I am giving copies to my friends that need health in their life and I am happy to do so.

Statistics tell us that 50% of high school graduates never finish a book after graduation so a quick read like Dr A's new book is "just what the doctor ordered!"   Discovering and connecting with "why" you want to lose weight is the step that most don't figure out and why 85% of most "dieters" regain all their wieght and more within two years.  If you  want to be part of the 15% and not the 85%, check out Discovering your Optimal Health.

There is nothing new under the sun here.  If you have no idea what healthy living is, you might find something of use in this book, but it's quite dull for the average person trying to live a healthy lifestyle.   I'd save your money unless you really have no idea where to start.
