NOT Recommended (if you have a choice)

This book was required for my Discrete Mathematics course. Unfortunately the way the material is presented is difficult to understand. I found myself looking for other resources to help me on topics I was stuck on. While I don't doubt the author's expertise, I had a hard time interpreting methods in which to solve problems in the chapter reviews, as if there was a piece of the puzzle always missing.

    Good Book

Pretty good book. Used it while I was an undergraduate and felt it was clear, with good examples and many exercises.

    A textbook worth every penny

I learned discrete mathematics from this textbook. By working through the exercises (I had the student solutions book too), I really learned the things I needed in my later courses in CS. I've returned to it as a reference over and over and over. Highly recommended!

This is a poorly written book.

I am taking a class right now and I am very disappointed with this book. I bought the supplemental guide to go along with the text, and I might as well have flushed my money down the toilet.
