Meet the Author

Cathy Hapka has written more than one hundred books for children and adults. She is the author of several series about horses—the original early reader series, Pony Scouts, the middle-grade series Horse Diaries, and the teen series Wildfire, based on the TV show. She has also written original stories such as Pardon My French (Penguin) and Something Borrowed (Simon & Schuster).

Tammie Lyon has illustrated more than eighty books, from hardcover trade picture books, to 8 x 8s, to early readers, to novelty formats. She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and loves spending the day in her studio with her dog Gus—which makes her a perfect fit to illustrate the Disney Buddies books! Among others, she has illustrated a puppy-themed book called Olive and Snowflake, a Marley 8 x 8, and a number of Eloise early readers.
