Children are the focus of Disneyland. Why not buy an affordable guidebook written just for them? Let the kids plan out your days in the parks and give them a useful tool to do it. They'll love the Walt Disney trivia and interactive hyperlinks throughout. These links fire up learning and make a Disneyland vacation even richer for the whole family.

Every area and attraction of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure is covered and given a notation of S (Scary), A (Awesome), T (Thrilling), D (Dark), or W (Wet) when applicable. Fastpass attractions are marked as well. Another large section describes the rest of Disneyland Resort, including Downtown Disney, each of the three Disney hotels and several food spots. Finally, the book wraps up with a short quiz and interactive links about several Disney Imagineers.

The book contains tween-friendly descriptions of all the attractions at Disneyland Resort and includes useful tips at the end of each park section to help time-crunched families get more excitement out of each day. Now kids can help plan the family vacation!

Meet the Author

Author Laura Schaefer explains the concept behind the Planet Explorers Travel Guides for Kids series:

"I wanted to give kids an easy way to become vacation experts. The whole philosophy behind the series is empowering kids. E-book technology allows readers to jump from information about Space Mountain to a linked page about the 1964 New York World's Fair. The format is perfect for young readers. It's all there, linked and ready to go. Writing Planet Explorers Disneyland 2012 was wonderful. I love history and I've been a middle school curriculum writer for over a decade, so my guidebooks definitely have a 'social studies' feel to them.

"Planet Explorers guidebooks cut out all the stuff kids would find boring if they looked through a regular travel guide and focus on attractions and fun facts. The guides have a lot of pictures and even include a quiz at the end. Parents have told me they're excited about the easy way the guidebooks incorporate learning about geography, history, art and science into real-life experiences.

"I loved traveling as a kid. I want to empower my readers to be part of planning vacations with their parents. That way, the trip is more fun and fulfilling for the whole family."
