"Distant Rainbow" - a story about the so-called. "the problem of moral choice". Mankind, successfully storming the secrets and mysteries of the Great Cosmos, is on the verge of a grandiose discovery. The so-called. is about to be discovered. "zero-t cycle" is a completely new and completely unique way to move in space and, moreover, a grandiose source of energy. Null-t experiments require much more space than a science lab. For the experiment, they choose the distant planet Raduga, on the very edge of the explored cosmic Oikumene. But quite unexpectedly for everyone, experiments with energy get out of hand. And now uncontrolled energy waves spread across the planet from the poles and closer to the equator, after which nothing remains alive. But the Rainbow, although weakly, is still inhabited. And on it, at the very peak of the disaster, is the famous star pilot Leonid Gorbovsky on the Tariel ship. The ship can save many, but not all. The hero will have to make a choice.
