What a fun and funny book! I think something on every page made me laugh or smile. (Read it just so you know the proper three part approach to casino buffets.) It's been a long time since I really enjoyed a mystery, but the characters and plot in Diva Las Vegas were unique and interesting. Who wouldn't be intrigued by an investigation team made up of a stripper, a Mormon and an entrepreneurial bouncer? I can't wait for the next installment!

After I read and enjoyed the book, I did some research on the authors. As far as I can tell, neither one of them has ever lived in Las Vegas. As a 34-year resident, I can tell you that they did their homework on modern day Vegas. They wrote about things that usually only locals know. While the characters were fictional, there were elements of notable residents, both living and dead.

This was such a refreshing, honest and out of the ordinary detective story. I really enjoyed it, because the author has created a strong main character who makes no bones about who she is and what she does to make money. She isn't just a stripper, she also adds to her income by being a PI, well a PI in training on probation. The scenes in which her non clothes wearing job is depicted are honest, gritty and she makes no excuses for making money with her assets and from the lust of others.

Diva Las Vegas was a great, breezy, fun read. Not usually a big crime novel reader, but this one was delightful. Reminded me of Evanovich and Parker. Lots of sex and booze which is so Vegas.

Diva Las Vegas is a page turner with many twists and turns in the plot and a very surprising ending. There is something for everyone in this story, humor, action and lots of steamy romance. While reading this I felt like I was in Vegas taking up the atmosphere of the place. Over all I give this book 5 poker chips. It is truly a high roller.

This is one of those rare books where you can't wait to see how things turn out. A great mystery plus lots of fun and some romance thrown in. Really looking forward to a series out of this..??

I love the character of Raven. She's sassy, cool, and makes me want to root for her. A fun, quick read.

I loved the idea for this book: a woman detective who is an exotic dancer at night. It actually works pretty well. Her friends make the book really, really fun in the second half. Takes a bit to get going, though.

I think this book got -really- good when Raven joined up with her other friends to go hunting the murderer. I hope the author continues that path rather than having Raven be a lone wolf detective.

I really got into this one about a third of the way through and ended up staying up late to finish. I love Vegas, so that is an extra plus.

I really got to like the detective, Raven McShane. I can see how she might be too over the top for some but she is smart and spunky.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I usually don't read books about strippers and Las Vegas, but since I recently visited the city I thought I'd give it a try. What a treat to read about all the spots I was familiar with. And Raven really grew on me. She has a cute self effacing personality with weaknesses she freely reveals. You can't help cheering her on as she tries to solve the case she is working on and find true love with her Mormon mentor! There is a lot of room for growth in Raven's PI practice and her life style, and I can't wait for the next novel to see how her life progresses.

Some people have said this is like an Evanovitch book but it wasn't quite. It was a detective novel with a very interesting detective: a stripper. She is trying to get out of the business and opens a detective sideline, and in doing so she helps her friend try to solve the murder of her husband. Fun times in Vegas and a little adult action too.

I was a little skeptical about this idea of a stripper slash detective. Who wouldn't be? But when she tag teams with Carlos (my favorite character) and her studly Mormon friend to start kicking butt, the pages just turn themselves. A killer ending doesn't hurt, either.

I enjoyed the story itself, but there could have been better editing. i.e.: words missing or in the wrong place or twice in the same sentence when not necessary.
