If you buy all three seperate it costs less

buy the three in separate nook books, 18 bucks, but this collection, 37 bucks....... I'm sorry but I don't see the deal.

Shame on you B&N. No wonder the Nook brand is failing. This 3 ebook bundle is $37. The physical hardback trilogy is $33. The three ebooks purchased separately add up to $24 ($10+$7+$7). Makes me ashamed that I have purchased seven Nook devices either for my personal use or as gifts.

this was honestly one of the best series I have ever read. of course many people had a problem with how it all ended but honestly I thought that it was a perfect ending and it showed how real it all was. don't listen to what others say about it you read for yourself and you judge it. Veronica Roth created a beautiful story and I am so happy I was able to read it from start to finish.

How is it that the Nook version ($36.99) is more expensive than the hardback trilogy ($33.56)??

I gave five stars to the first two books. The third book ruins the entire series. DO NOT, repeat DO NOT buy this as a gift for anyone. Young Adults are tweeting that they feel "dead inside" based on the ending. The positive reviews are mostly people who wrote before book 3 came out. I read over 100 books a year and this is the most disappointed and upset I have EVER been about a book. Do a lot of research before you invest yourself in this series.

*SPOILER* I see those who have thumbs this down are the readers who were caught off guard by Veronica Roth's ability to "kill off" her main character. It was quite tragic and shocking but she felt that she needed what readers should be reading. These were legit these character's beliefs and she captures that essence quite well. She did what more authors should do and that is remaining true to the books. I will not think of her less because of her capability and how she ended the series. That is HOW you end a series. Not that it should often be that the main character dies, but true to who and what they are. 5 stars to this series AND ITS ENDING.

I recently finished reading this series, and it is an incredible! (bought ebooks separately, but this looks okay as well)  It's a rollercoaster of thrills, fun, and a touch of romance. The characters are extremely well-developed, and each twist and turn takes you down a new road of possibility, causing you to question everything you know about the characters and sometimes even aspects of life(if you're into deciphering philosophical meanings).

The trilogy is well written. Author has a good sense of pacing and never gets overly ambitious with her descriptions. The writing is clear and accessible for audiences as young as their preteens, but the story is complex enough to entertain adult readers.  The end of the final book ties things up abruptly in a way that is not done in the other novels, but that could be as a result of the author finishing her first book series.  Overall an enjoyable, compelling series with complex characters and strong world building.

I read the first two books of this first & I had a countdown for the third book. I bought it as soon as it came out. The books, mostly the last one were the most emotionally raw books I've ever read. I would cry, laugh, get frustrated and no one could tear me apart for this book for a moment. The night the book came out, was a school night & I stayed up til It was time to go. By far my favorite book series. Read it!

First two books were awesome, I bragged on them being bettter than the Hunger Games. Last book was rushed and ended horrribly. Not that I mind the main character thing, but the way it was done was just plain bad. And the whole rushed gov'ment politics ect in the third. Sucked. The change of one POV for the first two, then massively messing up the third with duel pov that was frustrating beyond belief considering I really liked the aurthor beforehand. She should not have rushed it, should not have agreed to the movie until she was done writting. And it could have been a great series instead of a trilogy that cost her a large portion of her fans. Really, look it up. The third book caused a great deal of upset in this set.

If you buy the book separetly they are each 7 dollars so you will end up spending 21 dollars which isnt much considering this is the most popular series right now. Dont waste your money spending 15 dollars more on a package than buying them apart from eachother.

If there was one word that I chose for this series it would have to be "enchanting". I love it. It was so amazing to envelope myself in this world for the time I took to read the complete series. Was I completely happy with the series...No. Who is? There is always a side you take or a certain vision in your head but when A book conforms to what you imagine then something is wrong. It doesnt have a a spirit to it. I think a book has to break all your expectations and not be what anyone can imagine. The divergent series was definitely that. I would recommend the series to anyone who is looking for a great read with plenty of action but true romance, not the sappy, goopy stuff. But struggle and overcoming. I will forever be a fan of this series. My hat off to Veronica Roth. She did better than I could have ever imagined.

But you need to know even though I cursed and cried at the ending of the book it ended true to the characters beliefes and if it had ended anyother way would have been a lie. I apprecieat that the author stuck true to the character than given into the publics wants. The ending was as true as true can be.

OK people, get you numbers right! It is $3 cheaper to buy the books seperatly, not in a 'cheaper' collection. All three books, although, are worth the money... Veronica Roth has expressed herself thouroly in this book. Plz excuse my spelling.

This series is absolutely amazing. I sped through the first and second books... I started to slow down on the third because of what someone  wrote in a review , I knew what was coming. I hated that. People should NOT ruin the ending for everyone else by putting SPOILERS in their reviews. This series makes you fall in love with the characters. I have read that many were upset by the ending of Allegiant, but I think it fit. Tris is a strong welled character, and Roth did an exceptional job. I would highly recommend this series but I think the age should be at least 16+. People younger do not have the emotional capability for this series. Roth did a very good job making it so the reader could picture very detail  in their mind. Don't let the other reviews scare you off. This series is great! However if your looking a fairy tale.... Keep on looking. Exceptional series Roth!

Let me start by saying, I adored the first two books (Divergent and Insurgent). They were new and different and captured my attention from the get go. I couldn't stop reading them! I started Allegiant because I had to know the ending and how the author was going to wrap up the story and characters. I have never been so disappointed and saddened by the ending of book/series in my life! The ending was my well written in my opinion and felt incredibly rushed. That aside, again in my opinion, the ending felt like it was simply for shock value and that alone. It was a huge disappointment to me after becoming so attached to the characters. I read several reviews after reading to see others reactions to it and I was not surprised to find the same responses and outrage. I read an interview with the author in which she stated (paraphrasing here) that the book was basically hers and she ended it how she saw fit and didn't care how her readers felt about it. That was just as disappointing to me as the ending. She was an author I had enjoyed (up until the ending anyway) and I probably would've read future novels from her. However, the fact that she so blatantly disregards her fans and readers, puts a sour taste in my mouth and I can say with confidence that I will not be reading her material again. I can only hope the film adaptation will have an alternate ending and a screenwriter who takes the time to consider the audience., unlike the author. I would not recommend the series unless you plan to stop at book 2!

You never know what is coming. Very futuristic yet relatable.

Book 1:$ 3.99 Book 2:$ 7.99 Book 3:$ 11.99 Total is $23.97 save some money and buy them one by one! I am almost done (30 pps left) with "Divergent", I do not like the comparison to "The Hunger Games," it is misleading. Trigger warnings for the first book are listed at the bottom. I'd call it social science fiction under YA. I enjoyed this book's rapid pace and introductive plot, but so far the characters are all cis & het. Character descriptions establish that at least they are not all white--though the main chars appear to be. The dimension and depth of each character seems directly propertional to the character's relevance (& time in story) with a few glaring exceptions that make me wonder who dropped the ball on final copy. But oh well for $3.99 it is acceptible. The dialogue is average but the delivery of the story is not quite smooth but is slowly improving. A little violent, no more so than THG. There is possibly triggering material from the first book described below for those that have triggers *****SPOILERS********** TW: cutting; child physical abuse; sexual harrassment & assault; mind altering drugs; animal death; guns; death of a parent & sibling; & suicide.
