Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"I have always emphasized that God communicates with all of us, and Doreen Virtue teaches clear and understandable steps that enable everyone to have conversations with God." —Neale Donald Walsch, author of Conversations with God

"Virtue's latest best-selling book, Divine Guidance, is filled with eloquence." —Awareness magazine

"This book will be popular with the fans of Neale Donald Walsch." —Library Journal

"Divine Guidance is remarkable...Doreen Virtue is capable of bringing wonderment to all of us. She reminds you that your mind is the gatekeeper to your heart and soul, and gives you practical instruction in how to open that gate and free your heart and soul to secure messages from God and your angels." —Nick Bunick, subject of The Messengers, from the foreward to Divine Guidance

Library Journal
Virtue, a spiritual counselor, encourages everyone to communicate directly with God and the angels, and she maps out several clairvoyant styles for doing so. The method itself is surprisingly simple: breathe deeply and slowly, formulate specific questions, and trust God. She discusses characteristics of true guidance and ways to discern whether knowledge comes from wishful thinking or from interference by the lower self. The ultimate test seems to be whether guidance provides support and encouragement, or fear and negativity; she believes that the latter indicates false guidance. Practical exercises for developing latent abilities are included. This book will be popular with fans of Neale Donald Walsch (Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue, Putnam, 1996).

    Divine Guidance

Doreen Virtue truly had divine guidance putting this book together.
I was looking for direction in my own divine guidance and Doreen's book takes you step by step through the process of listening and opening up one's abilities. I have been recommending the book to others before I even finished the book. I will keep this book and read it over and over.
The book is organized in an easy to follow format with examples of what she is talking about in every chapter. Also included are tests to test your own abilities and learn to listen to the divine guidance that everyone has available to them and most do not know how to recognize.
Wonderful book for beginners and anyone interested in divine guidance.

Everyone Can Talk with God and See Angels

Have you ever wondered how easy it could be to talk with God, or wished you could see and hear angels? If so, DIVINE GUIDANCE is the book for you! Doreen Virtue makes readers feel instantly at home as she explains in simple language how all of us can communicate directly with God in her beautiful book, DIVINE GUIDANCE. Virtue describes how to discern true guidance when we receive it, and provides examples of how to know it when we've got it. I especially love the real-life stories Virtue includes, because they help bring her ideas of talking to God and angels to life -- and sometimes they describe what happened on occasions when divine messages have been ignored! DIVINE GUIDANCE provides three steps for formulating questions, and four steps to start seeing angels around every person we meet. Virtue also provides side-by-side examples of spiritual messages with the less-helpful lower-self messages, as well as a table showing characteristics of true and false guidance. The main emphasis of this book is to help people develop and enhance their 'clairs'... clairaudience, clairvoyance, clairsentience, and claircognizance... because such expanded awareness opens our ability to clearly hear, see, feel and know what is real around us. Lots of fun and easy exercises (such as toning) are included, as well as some very helpful prayers. DIVINE GUIDANCE is for people of all faiths, races, ages, and nationalities. People who are interested in discovering and fulfilling their life mission will enjoy this book more, simply because messages of divine guidance tend to urge us to make a positive contribution to the world.

    Virtuous Guidance

As a student of a wide array of occult subjects, i initially wanted to break into new grounds with psychic abilities. Divine Guidance was one such book that i read and liked very much. This book gives the reader inspirational stories of average joe people interacting with angels though various "Clairs". Clairaudience, Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, and Claircognizance. One of the things i liked about Divine Guidance is that it gives the reader very easy to understand , and implement, approaches to the development and advancement of their own psychic potential as well as give advice on how to tell whether your psychic impressions are from your mind or your angels. Through the use of simple meditations and charka clearing, i have been able to start seeing and hearing my guardian angels far better then i had reading other books on this subject. The majority of the book is written to give the reader a basic and safe approach to utilizing their own psychic potential as well as a "help section" for people who are super newbies in psychic work as well as offering advanced methods for purifying yourself to become the best psychic you can be. Positive affirmations are used to help the reader develop a closer relationship with the higher world, heal the connection between your mind, body, and soul, and the connection to the divine. Beyond the simple exercises and meditations, this book gives you tips and suggestions you can use in your daily life so you can work on your psychic abilities in simple and enjoyable ways when your not actively reading it. Generally, having faith is emphasized not just with yourself, but in a higher power, God, universal consciousness, whatever you feel comfortable calling it. Developing a relationships with these higher powers are also emphasized and will grow in ways with the reader that they didn't quite expect. Overall, this book is quite outstanding in content as well as on the user friendly level. 5 stars for sure.

    A Beautiful, Life-Changing Book!

This book completely changed my life, and I have seen the material in the book change the lives of others as well. For those who are open-minded, the book provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for communicating more fully with the Divine on your own. Dr. Virtue emphasizes a positive, easy-does-it approach that anyone can use, and she explains intuition in clear and simple terms that we can all understand. For people who may have a more skeptical approach to new age spirituality and metaphysics, the book provides a new level of understanding as far as angelic communication and intuition is concerned. I myself am a former skeptic, but reading the book helped me to have my own experiences that convinced me of the presence of angels in my life, and I now communicate with them on a full-time basis. Many of my angel reading clients have had similar experiences. This book is not about reading someone else's truth- it's about finding your own truth and having experiences in your life to reflect a higher level of understanding your relationship with God and the angelic realm. Dr. Doreen Virtue has published a truly priceless piece of work in Divine Guidance. She teaches all readers about their inner divinity, and shows them how they can easily have clear, open communications with God's angels. If you yearn for something deeper that is missing your life, you can reconnect with your true self, God, and all of the angels by learning the simple steps described in Doreen's book. Please buy it today- your angels want to communicate with you!

Great book but I found out too late that it is an early version of the Angel Therapy Handbook...which I bought first. Wish I had known this before I bought it. There should be a place to see the published dates of the books to avoid repeats.
