Overview

You never forget your first time.

Cameron Lewis loves his job as an instructor/trainer for a water safety firm that inspects water parks. He gets to travel from March through September, always moving on to something different. When a strange emptiness starts plaguing him, he chalks it up to turning thirty.

He manages to shake off the feeling—until he walks into a classroom and discovers that the eye candy in the front row is actually a very grown up version of his best-friend’s kid brother.

Noah Winthrop never forgot his first time. Scary, painful and then absolutely amazing—and with Cameron, the guy he’d always wanted. He’s had a crush on his brother’s best friend since puberty and now nothing will keep him from finally getting Cameron Lewis to notice him.

Even though Cameron once rejected him, Noah is determined to get it right this time.

    It was alright

It was a good read. I felt there was not enough substance in the main characters to hold the readers. But this was my first book from KA Mitchell, I will look forward to more from the author......

    Great read

I've read this series twice (the first time, there were only 3 novels out, now there are 4 which is why it got bumped to the re-read list).

Just love it. Lovely, lovely MC's. This is why I love m/m books - the angst they have would just not work between males and females but KA Mitchell sure makes it work between these males!

Entertaining, sexy - just a pleasant, fun read.

    Good

Great story. Noah, the younger brother, has always been a little in love with Cameron, his older brother's best friend. After one rejection at the too tender age of 15, Noah tries again at 19. That time he got who he wanted, but the next morning, Cam was gone without a word. Almost seven years later, they both come into contact again and the sparks are even hotter than before. It takes awhile for Cam to get used to the idea of Noah as a grown man and for Noah to see Cam as someone other than his youthful crush. Even finally admitting that they love each other, they have to find a way to make their relationship work. Overall done well, hot and sweet at the same time. 350 pgs.

    LOVED IT!

So far I have read it 3 times! Being married to an ex cop I love when they are shown to 'fall in love.' Best in her 'Baltimore' series...but I do hope we get 'Silvers' story next!

    Okay

Lots of sex, and not enough intimacy. Wished the relationship had developed faster/more than the sex did.

Good but not as good as book 2.

This book wasn't as good as the 2nd book. I ened up reading book two before this one. But even though you should really read the books in order and i knew what happened. Yet it still didnt impress me as much as the 2nd book. I like it by all means, but read this one, like it. Then read the 2rd one and love it!! Now i just have ti read book 3 and absolutly adore it.

I liked it quite a bit

It was completely annoying that Noah was so subservient to Cameron, except that it ended up working in the relationship. I ultimately liked the book, even if I spent some time wishing Noah would grow a pair.

    Poignant and Moving

Poignant and touching. I couldn't put this book down.

I have to admit, I was a K.A. Mitchell virgin when I opened this book. I'm so glad I got to review it. Diving in Deep had me from hello. Really. In the matter of ten pages, I was hooked, and by the end, I'd laughed, cried, and cheered. The writing is tight and moves at a quick clip, which kept me in my seat, wanting to know what would happen next. This book is chock full of emotion and tension. It's not an easy read, even if the banter between the characters is light and fluffy at times. Be prepared to sit and read this one cover to cover. You won't be disappointed.

What really got me was the characters. Honest. Both could've been written in a very stereotypical way, as many M/M stories are. Ms. Mitchell doesn't write them that way. They're human and relatable. It's like reading about people you know that happen to be good friends.

I loved Noah. Yes, he took a bit for me to come around to him, because he's a tad immature. That being said, it's a good thing. He's young and not as world weary as Cameron. Noah still has a bit of naiveté that's endearing. There were times when I wanted to find him and hug him. I could relate to his confusion and reluctance. He's not a go-getter, per se, but he's determined.

And then there's Cameron. The man has issues, but they are issues we all have. He wants Noah happy. If Noah appears happy, then Cam's happy. Problem? That age-old issue of asking. Cam comes off a tad self-centered, and why not? He's single, ready to mingle, and cute. He'd got a case of "it'll all work out". Still, I liked him and wanted to see him happy-truly happy.

Did I mention the sex? It steams. Yes sir, fogged my eyeballs and it was totally worth it. If you want a book with heart and characters you won't soon forget, then you need to read Diving in Deep. I give it 5 cherries.

    I Also Recommend:

    Loved it and KA Mitchell!

Really enjoyed the story and build of relationship. Mitchell is a great author in this genre. Much better than most. Stories are strong AND erotic. Characters and plot are just as important as the hot sex scenes. Noah and Cameron and wonderful characters that we met in previous KA Mitchell books and Joey shows up here, who was the main character in another book. Loved this book. Can't wait for more by this author.
