Editorial Reviews

KLIATT
These two small but richly informative DK biographies of legendary presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, are highly valuable additions to any library. In each case, the text is clearly and smoothly written with an eye toward a balanced presentation of men who were more complicated than their legends might imply. Even a teacher long familiar with this historical material is apt to find useful and little-known information here. Each page is illustrated with prints, pictures, maps or paintings appropriate to the material. Definitions and other informative inserts further explain these life stories. Each book is supplemented with a pictorial timeline of the life of the president. KLIATT Codes: JS*—Exceptional book, recommended for junior and senior high school students. 2005, DK, 128p. illus. bibliog. index., each. Ages 12 to 18.

    Amazing bio ever

This book is really great. I never would have read a biography but this one was incredible. The pictures and quotes from the actual lincoln himself were awsome. This man who unified our nation has done incredible things while living such a hard life growing up. I learned so much about him and his familly and how he died and everything that made lincoln a great sixteenth president. If I do say so myself, he's my favorite president!!
