    High Interest and Stimulating Vocabulary

This book is great to read to pre-schoolers with vocabulary stimulation and referencing. This means as child starts to read he/she is able to use the "new" vocabulary words as they are presented on page with drawing/diagrams. A very good level for ages 2-6+ who are interested in pirates.

    Fun little book

My five-year-old son, a huge Chima and Ninjago fan, loves this book.
Even though each page just describes a scene with pirates and related Lego sets, the scenes construct a bit of a narrative.

My son also loves the feature in the enhanced e-book that reads to him.

It would be a nice addition if it highlighted the words as it reads.

I got this book for my 4-year-old grandson who loves pirates. It turned out to be mainly an advertisement for Lego. After a few pages, he asked to go to the store to buy the characters he saw in the book. There wasn't much of a story at all. What I rip-off! I can't believe I paid money for this.

Quick read for an interactive experience through LEGO characters

eBooks are going to stay, they offer my child a different learning experience. Why not try it? My child loves hearing his own recorded voice reading back to himself. We had a good time.

    Short, for really young readers

I bought this for my son, a certified lego nut. He is a seven year old first grader who admittedly reads well above his grade level. This book is a DK Level 1, so i though he would enjoy it. While he liked the story, it only took 10 minutes to read. It would cost $18 for an hour of reading?

    Great Story/Bad Narrating..

My 3 1/2 year old is a HUGE pirate fan.. The story line is awesome and can you get any better than Legos and Priates at the same time??! My son saw this book and he was so excited to hear the "pirates" talk on our reader. The voice of the narrator was painful to say the least. Really slow and drawn out. He had to settle for his moms pirate talk instead. I made up for the loss by my enthusiastic cannon blast sounds though!!
