Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Lifestyle coach Collins adapts ideas from modern science to age-old spiritual wisdom. Harking back to a metaphor originally suggested by the father of quantum physics, Niels Bohr, she applies the principle of complementarity to psychic reality. While the principle relates to the application of concepts from classical physics to quantum mechanics, Collins states, "what you see is what you expect. By choosing one way to see the world, another equally likely aspect of that world becomes hidden." How we think about things can transform what we perceive to be reality. "We are not simply the changing thoughts that pass through our minds; we are that which witnesses the thoughts." She develops similar analogies from relativity theory and the strange phenomenon of quantum entanglement. Science buffs may be disappointed, but for those looking for a spiritual message with a new twist, this is the book.

I have read this book at least 15 times and each time I become consciously aware of an aspect of myself that I was unaware of before reading. I love this experience. As someone who rely's on communication to make a living I am ecstatic on how this influences my ability to listen and provide my clients with amazing results. This book is intelligent, witty and brilliantly crafted for an exciting read. It addresses the big subjects on everyones mind and makes sense of it all. A must read if you are pondering your life in todays rapidly changing world. AKC

Do You QuantumThink? is a very interesting read. Unlike other books in it's category, the author presents an extremely rational argument for the fact that our thinking needs to change in order to catch up with what we've learned about the scientific principles of the universe. And what I liked most about the book was the clear, entertaining, and sophisticated tone that the author takes in laying out her philosophy. Great!

Our book club meets twice a month; we choose a new book for each meet. We have spent 3 meetings on Quantum Think. This book has changed our lives and not just in minor ways but major life epiphanies. Not only does Ms. Collins present the information in an easy-to-grasp method but she is entertaining as well as informative. This book has had such an immense impact on our lives that we have decided that it will continue to play an important part of each book club meeting. After discussing our newest selection for each gathering we will check in with each other regarding changes in our "Paths of least resistance" and infinite possibilities. We will continue to give up allegiance to past reactions and responses. Ms. Collins insight and wisdom is amazing...and now, after reading her book, so are our lives!!!!

have finished reading this book at last, including the Acknowledgements at the back of the book. This is, in my humble opinion, the book of the century! I am hard at work preparing a review that I will post at Barnes & Nobles, Goodreads, Amazon, and anywhere else I can upload it to. I desire every literate being on earth to read this book. I wish I had it in my hands when I was a teenager... I can hardly imagine what it would have been like to have lived my life from a truly consciously-aware state... but I do know it would be infinitely different than the myriad, random, confusing, and often heart-breaking paths that I took. I have it now, and I pledge to the rest of my life to live by it's principles; it's distinctions, and its pragmatic all-encompassing center of inclusion and love. Dianne said that every time a person raises the bar eventually that becomes the standard of performance in which others will eventually raise even that bar. History has proved this to be utterly true. For now, this book is the one that has set the new and highest bar for our, the mundane of humanity, procurement of genius, the mastery of all the lessons set forth by all the ancient and modern masters of philosophy, spirituality, the how-to's of self-help, of intention and manifestation, of religious intent, and the big one, Science! Music, Math, harmony, the cosmos, the invisible, the other side, the inside, and everyman's side. Dianne brings it together in a stepping stone fashion, one understanding leading to the next, a road map to living consciously, as a hundred other exceptional books have attempted to do, she has achieved. This book has transformed me and I will be ever grateful to Ms. Dianne Collins, Author of Do You QuantumThink? for this mastery-level work of authorship!

With highest respect for Dianne Collins, who has obviously expended a great deal of effort in researching and preparing this work, it is still nothing more than a self-help book. Unfortunately, it will probably not help many readers because of the following weaknesses. One intent of the book was to show that modern physics presents specific new ways of thinking about reality. This is a claim that has been going on for the past century, but it is primarily made by those who have not really studied physics. I include Dianne in this category, as well as myself. The true physicists, those who have taken 60-plus hours of college level math and a similar number of science courses, understand that subjects like non-locality, fields, or string theory are shown in complex mathematical expressions. Very few physicists believe these can be reduced to narrative, real-world concepts, but they sometimes try do this with the understanding that they are using approximations and metaphors. Dianne, like other philosophers who attempt to understand the meaning of science without knowing the science itself, grabs hold of these approximations as building blocks for her own new metaphors about quantum thinking. The result is a mish-mash of inaccurate science and jargon. A second intent of the book is to show that holistic thinking should replace the mechanical, detailed and structured thought processes of the past. Personally, I agree with that premise. Dianne, however, presents over twenty different aspects of quantum-thinking. She is basically replacing one structured system of thought with another. Each element, while of interest, precludes a truly holistic process. The greatest weakness of this work is its verbosity. There are few paragraphs that could not be cut in half, and one must plow through pages to find simple thoughts. It is noteworthy that great holistic thinkers, whether Jesus or Lao Tsu, realized that big concepts did not require big explanations. I would hope that Dianne will some day edit her work down to a reasonable size. There are good thoughts here, but not enough to justify over 400 pages of structured reading.
