Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
A very young girl is dressed in a full body bunny suit (pajamas?), but I cannot imagine a child not having her hands free and being content with a hood on her head to which are attached two really big ears. If you can put that aside then perhaps the goodness of Honey Bunny offering everyone a hug is a happy, positive message. She hugs Mommy, Puppy, Daddy, and others. The text is repetitious and the question posed is "Do you want a hug…" The simple illustrations show Honey Bunny in the same outfit in every scene—she plays outdoors, sleeps, and even visits her grandparents while in the same attire. As an adult reader it is too simplistic and saccharine—cute bunnies and colorful flying bugs fill the pastel pages. Very young children may be less critical and enjoy the happiness that Honey Bunny brings with her hugs. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

    Good book/ quesionable family value

We bought this book for our daughter 21 months. Her nae is Honey bunny.
I like the book for it's content. But the illustrations lead m to beleive this was bsed for a lesbian famil.
Dad and the grandparents are all women.
Maybe it's ust my family but even my 7yr old said the drawings were all girls.
Again the meaning was good but the illustrations are notwhat I want to shw my young chid.
