Meet the Author

William Steig's drawings appeared regularly in The New Yorker since 1930. He also wrote and illustrated books for children, most recently his memoir, When Everybody Wore a Hat. Imagine a renowned dentist (a mouse) instructing his wife from a wheel chair to do the excavating on a rotten molar inside an elephant's mouth !!! Intrigue and humor abound. The action really begins when the Doctor is kidnapped by a resentful Rhesus Monkey. Suitable for all ages.
