Overview

"Dog Daze is loaded with characters you will grow to love and a floppy-eared pooch you won't be able to resist. Filled with twists and turns, this fun mystery left me guessing all the way to the end. . . ."

--Janice Hanna Thompson, author of more than eighty books, including Kate’s Philadelphia Frenzy

It’s “Dog Daze” for the S.A.V.E. Squad

It couldn’t possibly get much worse, Aneta Jasper thinks. Not only is she reluctantly one of the winners of the Oakton City Founders’ Day poster contest, but now she and three girls—with nothing in common but their differences!—have to pull off a successful event for the first-ever Founders’ Day. The girls can’t even agree to disagree, but end up forming a close bond over the rescue of a small Basset Hound they dub Wink.

The S.A.V.E. Squad—Sunny, Aneta, Vee, and Esther—share a passion for finding a “forever home” for Wink, which leads to their idea for a Founders’ Day Waddle—a fund-raising Basset Hound walk, a doggie fashion show, and a photo contest. They think their plan rocks! . . .Until a mean girl at Aneta’s school stirs up trouble, and the city council must ultimately decide whether the Waddle will waddle at all.

Editorial Reviews

Book Bargains & Previews
Lauraine Snelling & Kathleen Wright have teamed up to create a wonderful series for elementary age children with family values and life lessons that make the book worth the read.  This is an adorable book with a heart.

Crowding the Book Truck

Religion and church life are threads that run through the book, tying the plot together, and at several times the girls talk about being Christians. Parents and kids who are looking for a series featuring strong girls and cute animals wrapped up in an overtly Christian message should definitely keep an eye out for this series.

Irene's Christian Reviews
What a fun book to read. The story is interesting as well as entertaining. There is much to learn from this book, things like teamwork, friendship and even celebrating your differences. The story revolves around a group of girls, with Aneta Jasper as the main character.

Even though I was an adult reading a book written for the late elementary age group, I still really enjoyed this story. I liked how the characters related to each other. I liked the project they work on together as it made the story more interesting. I would definitely let my child read this book! I gave the book a 5/5 stars because there is really nothing negative I could say about this book!
