Dog Parenting is about how to treat your dog and care for it. The author says in the book that each breed of dogs has a specific task that they do. This book can be read by a variety of people including children. My personal opinion is that this book is very interesting and you might learn something new if you read the book.
Andrea Rains Waggener, the author, is a dog parent to Muggins, an outrageously happy Springer Spaniel. She writes a weekly column for Washington’s daily paper. She lives in Ocean Shores, Washington with her husband Tim and her dog Muggins. I think the book is really good and I enjoyed reading it, and I think she did really good explaining each type of pet. The author said in the book “Good parents let their kids be themselves.” Meaning letting them do what they want.
The book is very interesting. In each chapter it seems as if you learn something new each time. She talks about each breed, and tells you how they are like and even tells you if that type of dog is good, bad, or great around children. So, that is why I think this book achieved its purpose.
At first when I started reading the book I didn’t think it was very good, but when I got into the third chapter I realized how interesting it was. I liked the book and I think that other people will too.
The reason why I gave the book a five star review is because I really enjoyed the book. The reason why I enjoyed the book so much is because I love dogs a lot and I think of myself as a dog parent too. I’ve been taking care of my dog, Daisy since she was a puppy. She is still a big baby to me. So, I think everyone should read this book.
