With this book you can teach an old dog new tricks!!!!!!

Wow! What a great book! I have a 3 year old Labrador that I've been trying to teach tricks for about a month now - mostly using free tutorials I found online. I made so many mistakes that it's no wonder Roger didn't learn anything from me. Since most of the free stuff I got never mentioned "Timing" and how important it is, I never took it into account.

After getting this book, I corrected my timing problem as well as several other dog training mistakes I was making and Roger's learned how to sit and stay in about 2 days time. What a difference a few dog training tips can make! In any case, I really like this book! The author's positive-reinforcement approach to training as well as his step-by-step, clearly outlined directions make dog training fun. It's a very easy to use book that is a terrific for dog training newbies!

Really good advice on how to train your dog

I got my daughter a puppy, Austin, a few months ago and the little guy is growing fast so I decided to train him to follow some basic commands. I bought this book, which was pretty easy to read, then started following the author's advice. Training Austin has been pretty easy using Jack's methods. So far Austin has learned how to sit, lie down, stay, and to come running when he's called. I definitely think there are quite a few gold nuggets in this book. If you are new to dog training, like I was, I highly recommend this book.

This book is a great tool for teaching your dog how to follow yo

This book is a great tool for teaching your dog how to follow your commands. Although the author only discusses a few tricks in the book, he gives you a system you can use to teach your dog just about anything. I think it is a solid book.

This a great book! I trained my little collie to do a few trick

This a great book! I trained my little collie to do a few trick in around 1 week. Just found out what her favorite treat was like the book suggested, got her engaged, and had fun with it. If you are not having fun training your dog, then it's not going to work out. I have a couple of friends who tried but failed bc for them it was a chore. So remember to have fun!

I like this book because of its simple and direct approach to do

I like this book because of its simple and direct approach to dog training. It does not have a lot of
empty filler about why you should train your dog. It gives you a few examples you can use to train your
dog and then you can use the same methods to expand on those basic tricks.

Thx. Sorry, Nightsky, but i am really more of a warrior type. I cant remember all those herbs, and Starclan has never shown as much as a whisker to me in dreams.
