    Another Great Book from Cesar!

    I enjoy the TV show Dog Whisperer and thought this was going to just be a guide to each episodes for serious fans. It is that but is so much more. There are valuable tips on dog psychology and the human dog relationships that will help your relationship with your dog in the synopsis for every episode. I learned things from reading the book that I had missed watching the show. You will enjoy this book and learn from it even if you have never watched the Dog Whisperer show. For fans of the show it answers the question on how the dogs are doing years after filming - my favorite part. Easy to read, full of great information!

    Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan

    For those wanting a dog or who already have a dog, Millan's book is a necessity. Including the first three seasons of his National Geographic show, this book demonstrates how to speak "dog-ese." Making more noise when a dog barks only intensifies the situation. Rather, the human(s) must remain calm and assertive; standing up, walking near, making a consistent sound (such as a sharp sh-h or a sharp uh) once, to indicate displeasure with the behavior. With subsequent events, eventually the human will be able to make only the sound. Dogs of any size are pack animals, requiring the calm, assertive behavior of a pack leader to redirect attention so as to keep the pack calm and submissive. Enjoy your dog with Cesar Millan's great advice.

    Dog Whisperer

    I love Cesar but expected something other than what was in this book. I have an Akita and used several different books to train her. I thought that with Cesar's effectiveness this book would add a special touch to my training. Needless to say I'm dissappointed.Try another one of his books. This one wont do.
