Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Patricia Williamson
A beautifully photographed book about most common breeds of dogs. The pages are formatted similarly for each breed, making it simple to explore the information. The book is subdivided into sections by type of dog and that include sporting, hounds, working, terrier, non-sporting, herding, and toy dogs. One of the greatest features of the book is the star on each dog's page called Family Friendliness, where the author describes how the dogs will fit into specific family settings, making this a must for anyone planning to add a dog to their household. The photos are interesting and there are great shots of each dog in different settings What would have been helpful would have been picturing the dog next to humans, in order to learn about their size. A dog lovers dream, this book is simply fascinating to look at if for no other reason than "I love dogs." For those who fancy themselves dog experts, there is a pop quiz in the back of the book that reviews information about each breed featured in the book. Reviewer: Patricia Williamson
