PreS-A lively black-and-white puppy describes an imaginative day of play with his various stuffed animals. "I swing from the trees with Monkey./I fly through the clouds with Bird./I change my color with Chameleon.-I run really fast with Cheetah." But at the end of the day, with his toys tucked away, what he most likes to do is "Play with Daddy." The bold, primary colors in the gouache paintings burst with energy. Broad, thick brush strokes are perfectly suited to the innocence and enthusiasm of the pup. The hand lettering further captures the fun-loving spirit and complements the illustrations as it curls around the snake and undulates around the fish. This simple, action-oriented book encourages participation and is a surefire hit for toddler storytime.-Linda Ludke, London Public Library, Ontario, Canada Copyright 2000 Cahners Business Information.|

Dog's Day is a classic example of what toddlers and preschoolers love in a book. The colorful, imaginative pictures hold my kids' attention and invite them to use their imagination. Each page includes interesting visual details and beautiful color. The story tells what Dog likes to do as he explores and pretends in a typical day. The surprise ending delighted my kids. Even I loved this book, and I'm 29 years old!

I sincerly hope the author Jane Cabrera reads this as I would love to thank her for such a fun and marvelously illustrated book. My son (14 months) can't get enough of this book. I have to read it to him at least twice every night before bed. When he wakes in the morning If he doesn't reach for Dogs Day it will be one of her other equally exceptional books. Thankyou Jane I look forward to more books from you
