Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Seven small books come packaged in a box called the "Blue Set." The box, which closes with a Velcro tab, also contains an instruction guide for parents and a poster. The poster lists all the new words contained in the books on one side and lets kids color in the dog sharks on the other side. The stories are simple and usually have a bit of humor such as the one in which Otto makes a donut and mixes up the cookbook and a magic book. He can't figure out why his donut is floating in the air. Kids just learning to read will feel a true sense of accomplishment as they complete each of these readers.
