A Great Companion To The Movies - THE DOGTOWN TEXTBOOK

A Great Companion To The Movies - 'THE DOGTOWN TEXTBOOK' Here are all the original DogTown stories and photographs that presented the real life Z-Boys to the world back in the 70's for the first time, (as well as over 100 never before seen DogTown photos.) This is the best documentation you will find anywhere on the Z-Boys, brought to you by the people who were there with them. Compiled into an 8'x8', 240 page, Hardcover book. Words and photos that have inspired generations, and changed our culture forever! One of the greatest things about THIS book is that it DOES contain over 100 NEVER BEFORE SEEN Glen E. Friedman images as well as all of the original articles C.R. Stecyk wrote for Skateboarder. Anyone who knows about this stuff will be overwhelmed with all the new material, and blown away by the quality of the old material, and how it's laid out in this new book. If you're an old fan, or a newcomer because you just got turned on to the Z-BOYS by the movie, you will love this book. The quality of the photos in the book are far superior to how they look in the movie. You're going to love this book if you get it. Did I mention how incredibly inspiring this whole thing is? THE BEST BOOK ON DOGTOWN AND THE Z-BOYS YOU WILL FIND ANYWHERE. Original photogrpaphs from this book and Friedman's others inspired the film makers of both the world famous films, DOGTOWN AND Z-BOYS and THE LORDS OF DOGTOWN.

as OG as it gets, the culture that continues to inspire

it's all here in this book; rad photos and the real-life story of rippers that have influenced one generation after the next. the photography makes you want to grab your skate with shots of Alva and Adams that will make you wet your pants. imagine the first time a board left the ground in a suburban LA neighborhood, overtaking the coping of an empty swimming pool... the beginning. i *heart* this book. not to be too cliche but 'Skate or Die'.
