Kids need to know what is expected of them, and what their boundaries are. Educational theorists have discovered once again that students' behavior and academic performance can be enhanced by higher expectations. Smart parents have known this for a long time. Here, in a simple pocket-size book, are guidelines for talking about boundaries and expectations. Although simple to read, this book will prove most beneficial when read aloud and discussed with children. This can be done at home, or in a classroom setting. Activities are included for making each "asset" a part of the reader's life. Assets discussed are setting boundaries at school, home and in your neighborhood, as well as peer influence and role models. Supplemental pages include an index and resources for both kids and adults. This is book three in the "Adding Assets" series. 2005, Free Spirit Publishers, Ages 8 to 12.
