John D. Beckett
You’ve heard that we learn more in the valleys than on the mountaintops. Wendy Wallace has lived this maxim . . . Doing Well at Being Sick tugs at your heart, yet tickles your funny bone. You’re about to . . . draw wisdom, perspective, and hope from a great, gifted,
and godly woman. — John D. Beckett, Chairman, The Beckett Companies, Author of Loving Monday and Mastering Monday
Melvyn Rubenfire
In my several decades of practice in Internal Medicine and Cardiology I have seen no one with as long a list of diverse and often unrelated major medical problems remain so full of life and appreciation for every day. Pamela F. Stevenson
Wendy’s faith, wisdom, and friendship have not only inspired me as a nurse . . . but have directly influenced my life, family, future, and spiritual and ministerial growth . . . Doing Well at Being Sick introduces the reader to a magnificent woman, and illustrates her journey through incredible health crises and personal challenges, utilizing common sense, personal responsibility, biblical scholarship, and divine grace as guidance. — Pamela F. Stevenson RN, BSN, MPS
Robert J. Ackerman
Wendy’s book is not about surviving illness. It is about the emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of a triumphant life that has been filled with hope, healing, and inspiration. Her writing takes us inside her journey and at the same time offers practical advice for anyone suffering illness and for those who love them. It is rare to
find a book that teaches and touches the reader. This is such a book. — Robert J. Ackerman, PhD
W. Joseph McCune
This is a wonderful, inspirational work that should help any patient maneuvering the health-care system succeed in overcoming the many challenges of having a chronic illness. — W. Joseph McCune, MD, Michael H. and Marcia S. Klein Professor of Rheumatic Diseases,

    An Inspirational Masterpiece!!!

What an awe-inspiring book filled with pertinent information on how people with chronic health conditions can work within the medical system, as you enhance your spiritual walk with God. I wish I had this book from the very painful beginning of my diagnosis and struggle with facet disease, degenerative disk disease, and a herniated disk with sciatica, as well as my wife's five year struggle living with Systemic Lupus. But the Lord guided me to this book through my Behavioral Health Specialist, It is now my new favorite, and I will turn to it and my Bible to continue helping us through the rest of the way. Thank you Wendy for your strong fight in not letting your health challenges prevent you from not only meeting your needs in your walk with God, but for also leaning on the Lord to give you the strength and ability to reach out to help others . May God continue to Bless you
