Overview

Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé combine their truly scandalous imaginations with the secrets they know about life in the fast lane to bring you a book like nothing you've ever read before!

Nothing is more important than family. Just ask Kamille, Kassidy, and Kyle Romero, three beautiful, loving, deeply loyal sisters. Their mother has remarried and their new stepfather, a world-famous all-star baseball player, has come complete with two stepsiblings. Life in L.A. is pretty typical for this newly blended clan.

Then everything changes overnight when one sister becomes magazine-cover, fashion-icon, headline-making famous. Suddenly, new issues are complicating their lives: jealousy, backstabbing friends, fix-ups, plastic surgery, and paparazzi run-ins—not to mention a televised wedding, crazy nightclub parties, forbidden stepsibling attraction, and a huge secret that threatens to break even their tightest family bonds. The Romero sisters are about to painfully discover that being a celebrity in L.A.'s gilded dollhouse isn't all it's cracked up to be.

    Worse than you thought

I borrowed this from a friend...glad I didn't waste my money. Short, choppy sentences, no plot...it's basically a re-telling of their vapid lifes. If I could have rated it zero stars, I would have,

    This book is a must!!

In Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashians’ Dollhouse the main settings are their families’ restaurant and their homes. Unlike most books, Dollhouse is told from four different points of views. Kass, Kat, Kyle, and Kamille are the main characters of the different chapters. I would say the overall tone of the book is jealousy; it’s mainly because Kass, Kyle, and Kamille are spoiled sisters. What else would you expect? The sisters are always determined to out shine each other for their mother, Kat. The perfect child was Kass, she made straight A’s, but her main problem is she can’t find a good boyfriend and at every Sunday night dinner her mother always has a new guy for her to meet. The bad child was Kyle, she staring going downhill after their father’s death; she started smoking and getting in trouble a lot at school. Finally Kamille was the pretty child; she was on her way to becoming a supermodel. In my opinion, the book surprised me because I’m not really a fan of the Kardashians. I was amazed because the book was about all three sisters and not just one boring character; it was focused on four people. I found it interesting because it wasn’t just about fashion, which was my first impression of the book. I would recommend this book to girls that are a fan of the Kardashians and like multiple dramas from different points of views.

Meet the Romeros, Mom Kat, sisters, Kassidy, Kamille and Kyle.

Meet the Romeros, Mom Kat, sisters, Kassidy, Kamille and Kyle. The Romero's life is turned upside down when husband/dad David Romero dies suddenly and they have to sell their house for something more modest. A life insurance policy allows Kat to buy a defunct restaurant in West Hollywood. Then she marries Beau, a retired Dodger pitcher, and he add his kids, Benjy and Bree, to the family.

Then one of the sisters is "discovered" and becomes a model which forces the entire family into the spotlight. It doesn't take them long to realize that being a celebrity in L.A.'s "gilded dollhouse" isn't all it's cracked up to be.

    Dollycas's Thoughts

I know what you are thinking, this is just another spin-off from the Kardashian television series and you are right, but don't we always say authors write about what they know. This is what these girls know.

Seriously, I do enjoy their t.v. show, one of my little guilty pleasures, but I really hadn't planned on reading this book until my twenty year old daughter said "Mom, you have to read this book!" She loved it!!!! So I read it. It is a very fast read and at first I thought I was wasting my time until the dialogue started sounding just the way they talk to each other on the show and the way my daughter talks to her friends. Then I started to realize that if the authors were not the famous Kardashians with all the hype, the story wasn't bad. A Young Adult novel about a dysfunctional family trying to function in the Hollywood spotlight.

Yes, Kassidy is based on Kourtney, Kamille is based on Kim, Kyle is based on Khloe, Kat is based on Kris Jenner but this is a fiction story. Perfect and fun for those older teens and twenties girls to read and enjoy. Like my daughter they would love it. So my daughter would give it five stars, an old lady like me would give it a three so I'll average that out.

Watch the show, much more entertaining

Well, I think what just about everyone else thinks, I hope...

The Kardashian's know exactly how to make money. And make money they do.

This story was boring, not the slightest bit of entertaining but at least it kept me reading. I finished it! How exciting. I didn't think I would.

I just wished they would have been just a bit more creative. The world already knows so much about their life, why put what we see on TV in a book. With just a few differences...

This made me LOL at the attempt of being authors. No point in reading the book just watch the show.

And everything that happened sounds just like the Kardashian's
