Do you trust me Meghan?

His voice was soft, almost pleading. I swallowed and tried hard to discern his expression in the dark. The paltry amount of light reaching this far into the small cavern glinted off his eyes, giving him the appearance of a demon trying to tempt me into doing something evil.

Yes, I answered, my own voice a mere whisper, I trust you.

Good.

He gave my hand a quick squeeze, and then I was pulled forward into the icy abyss that loomed before us . . .

A year ago, Meghan Elam learned that she was Faelorehn, a being of the Otherworld. Immortal. Now she must juggle her life in the mortal world with the one she has started to build in the Otherworld. However, keeping her identity secret from her friends and family while trying to avoid a wrathful Celtic goddess is no easy task.

With the help of the intriguing Cade MacRoich, Meghan will learn that not only does she come from a place full of magic and wonder but that she, too, is far more powerful than she ever thought possible.

I really enjoyed this second installment of the Otherworld Trilogy. It took me a chapter or two to remember how the first one ended, but the story was great to ease back into. It is a quick smooth read. This one gets a bit more into Meghan's mind and Cade's past. The reader finally gets to see more of the Otherworld. The descriptions are wonderful and the imagery allowed me to truly envision Cade's home world. The characters and action in this story definitely drew me in, and I couldn't put the book down!

So much better than the first one! I thought I was hooked after the first one! I was on her website looking for more after this one! Luckily, there is a third book still and a book from Cade's point of view to read. And to my delight, the author says on her website she would like to write another trilogy that connects with this world. Yeah!!

Meghan has broken her geis, now she is unprotected. She broke it when she went to Elie because she wanted to save Cade, in the end he was the one who saved her. It has been months since she seen Cade. She has fully recovered from her injuries but not the emotionally scars. She is scared to go out in fear of the creatures that loomed in the dark. Ms. Johnson has done it again, writing an amazing sequel in The Otherworld Trilogy. I could not put this one down. I had to continue to the end, and I was not disappointed. In this sequel we get to find out who were Meghan's biological parents, as well as Cade's history. Meghan gets to explore Elie, see and experience new things. The relationship between Cade and Meghan does get intense. At times, I screamed at my kindle "tell him, just open your mouth and speak" or "he is in love can't you see" or "aww that is so cute". Dolmarehn was fabulous from the beginning to the end. Quickly paced, well written, action filled, and a touch of romance, and magic. Definitely, eager to read the last installment. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is only the second book in the series and I am highly addicted to it. I don't think I will ever get enough of these characters. This will be one of those series I re-read over and over because I can't get enough. It has been a year since Meghan found out who she truly is. She is trying to balance being a teenager in high school in the human world, along with trying to find her place in Eile as she is of Faelorehn. Her friends and family have no idea that she is an immortal being from another realm. The only person she is close to who knows her secret is Cade. Will she be able to balance everything out? Can she keep her family from finding out who she really is? Will she ever truly find out where she belongs? The book is well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. The characters and their emotions are raw and real. The imagery is very vivid. I can't wait to see what happens next. I love everything about this book/series.

We finally find out about Meghan's heritage, and her magick. Meghan and Cade's relationship develops further. I am excited for the final installment. The writing is pretty good, but I think Meghan cries a tad too much. Hopefully she is stronger in the next book.
