Overview

The Dolphin Dynamic is the first book to show anyone how to use dolphin communication techniques and therapy principles to achieve success in business and in life.

So what do dolphins do that we should emulate? To name just a few key characteristics obviously applicable to business situations, dolphins generate positive feelings, are master communicators, create an elegant image and know how to work as a team. Sounds like something any business can use!

Oh, one key thing: Dolphins can kill sharks.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal - Library Journal
Laaman has based this book on her experiences as a successful salesperson and business trainer and her deep involvement with dolphins. A recent book by Connie Glaser and Barbara S. Smalley, Swim with the Dolphins: How Women Can Succeed in Corporate America on Their Own Terms (LJ 3/15/95), provides a slightly different approach to the same topic. Here, the focus is on sales. Each of the book's four main sections deals with the characteristics that make up the acronym DIVE (determination, instinct, vision, enthusiasm). Much of what is written here can be found in other books about business communication skills, minus the dolphin twist. The use of famous and some not-so-famous quotations is overdone, and the level of treatment tends to be condescending for the target audience. Not recommended.Bellinda Wise, Nassau Community Coll.
