Have you ever purchased a book on games only to find that you have the same old run-of-the-mill rules that you learned as a child? Dominoes Plus is 100+ exciting games, 90% of them original. It is the last word on dominoes. You may read it as a simple rulebook of fresh and interesting tile games. A professional writer explains to you the complete and detailed set of rules for each game. Similar games are grouped into topical chapters, with 25 illustrations for reference (that you will remember). An appendix provides a user-friendly cross-reference for finding a game to match ages and number of players. Look deeper to find a theory and philosophy of the elements that compose a typical game of dominoes.
Author Bill Perkins begins with a history of dominoes, and throughout the book introduces the topic of Dominoforms, which explain typical features and structures of tile games. They are at once both familiar in their general styles of play and concise in their treatment. One may find many first-time exclusives of play bound for the classics bookshelf, comprehensively explained. Dominoes Plus is a must-buy for any student of games. Breathe new life into those tired old checkers, card, and dice games as you combine them with dominoes in interesting new games-the second half of the book describes many such games. Dominoes Plus is a guidebook as much as a reference, and will find a place on your kitchen table as you sit with a young or old friend or two. If you don't have someone at hand eager to play, the author offers ideas on how to find a game.

DOMINOES PLUS: THE DOMINOFORMS HANDBOOK is the most up-to-date and best selection of games and related commentaries perhaps for the present and the foreseeable future for the sport of dominoes now! It is to be now highly reccommended for its greatness with over 100+ games and goodness of authority through-and-through! You can check other bookstores on the web and where it is selling now and at times regularly find it selling in the top 3 titles for its genre and market and that is because merchants and buyers in the know realize the true importance of this book and how fine it is in making entertainments possible for fun times with dominoes and other related classic gamesets in the family den of games and its related tricks for pastimes. It regularly receives 5 stars out of 5 possible at the the bookstores where it is promoted for its customers and the whole public at large. As for a proper competitive sourcebook for goodness of current games DOMINOES PLUS stakes the reputation on the authors exhaustive and compellingly comprehensive treatment (in which he took 10 years of writing it) of the subject of domino games and all its related entertainments and trivia. Most of this is typically overlooked and left out of the texts of most authors on this subject. Therefore one may typically find as a reader of it the topic of dominoes represented by the key word of 'Dominoforms' and the differences and attributes of 'generic' and 'popular' formats for dominoes well considered and completely told of in the most round about and compelling ways complete with related diagrams and supporting illustrations for typical games (and major model-formats and subsequent relevant minor variable games in rules included along with those too). What this means is that you get not only the most definitive and important key type of plays for games such as a 'GAMES FOR BAGS' variant (of which there is a whole chapter for them included) but also the related subsequent relevant other varieties of plays along with it in respects which were instrumental and considered along with the key types for play in developing the major games and its assortment of topic variables (when the conventions of plays were first considered by the author and players of these games and when they were originally play-tested many times). With such text development as in this classic text for the whole sports of dominoes is also treated the first ever in the sports applications and sets of play for decimalized forms of dominoes (along with the bulk of the book written for its 100+ games with them too). It is put together for the players purposes in a KING-SIZED big set of 100 dominoes (from numbers #0:0 or 0 through #9:9 or 99) made from taking two sets of double 9 55 tile dominoes, mixing them into the KING-SIZED set and after throwing out the second extra set of 10 doubles variable tiles that come with it to get the combined set of 100. Not to forget the double 6 set of 28 standard tiles - there is over 30 available new games for it in DOMINOES PLUS if you simply want to start playing many fine games and if you already have it as soon as you purchase it! DOMINOES PLUS delivers all the goods on the sport and as no other book can by the one main insider on the sport - the game guru and coach BILL PERKINS who is a master-gamesman who has spent years in game arbitration at the proffessional and tournament level as well as for his experience graduating from a local colleges illustration and technical writting program in the past with award-winning honors and in the top of his class! So he is perhaps someone who is very well qualified as the author for the most definitive and universal text on this subject! 2 PARTS at the front of the book develop well the major themes of PART I: GAMES WITH DOMINOES and PART II: DOMINOES AND OTHER GAMES COMBINED (which also features only the most popular and classic of all gameform playsets such as dice, playing cards, game boards, poker chips and pokWas this review helpful?
