Overview

There are two foundational pillars of a BDSM relationship between a Dom and a sub: consent and trust. Everything else in the relationship - the fun, the love, the discipline, the eroticism, the tears and the journey - are all built on those standards. Both consent and trust require honest communication in order to thrive. The vast majority of that communication begins long before the training begins.

In "Dom's Guide to Submissive Training Vol. 2," I listed 25 things you must know about your new sub if you want to create a satisfying relationship with a devoted submissive. It's not enough to just ask "What do you like?" or "Would you like to be my sub?" You need to know things about your sub that are deeper, more practical and helpful.

Without the knowledge of these 25 things, you may be able to create momentarily excitement but it will surly turn into a frustrating short-term relationship headed for drama, disaster and end.

Following this guide allows your sub to communicate freely and provides a mechanism for her to reveal her true self - even if she doesn't have the words to do so. There are a million things subs want their Doms to know. These questions will help your sub tell you.

This book is the next step to helping someone new to Dom and relationships. It’s formatted for an easy read but gets directly to the questions you need to establish a relationship. In general though, this book has great relationship questions for discovering a partner for any new relationship. If you are comfortable with the topic and are ready to find a partner this book is invaluable. If not check out Vol. 1 (which I have read) it is a great starting point. Take your time reading through each question and you will have a successful first experience or build on your skills for finding the right partners.

This book, as the name suggests, includes things that are essential to know when entering into a relationship with a new sub in the BDSM lifestyle. This includes questions that should be asked to find out about a prospective sub that you are talking to, such as when they were born, and what health concerns they have. There are also tips on determining if someone is lying when they answer these questions. The questions are very personal and seem to be essential, in order to have an open and honest BSDM relationship and so that each of you knows what the boundaries are. I would recommend this to anyone that is interested in BSDM and needs tips on how to approach a sub.

A Dom/sub relationship is not one that should be entered into lightly. Both parties need to know what they’re getting into. With the popularity of books like “Fifty Shades of Grey” and the upcoming movie adaptation, I imagine that this subculture will be seeing an increase in popularity from those that are genuinely seeking a relationship and those that are only curious. If not done correctly though, this relationship can go south quickly. While I wouldn’t classify myself as a Dominate individual, in fact quite the opposite, I did find an interest in what the other side is like. I have read other books such as this one and I have to say that I enjoyed the candid nature that this book had to offer. I liked that the book was not just about the relationship but certain things to consider prior to beginning one. The tip about verifying age in particular has its merits. The author broke the questions up into several levels and focused on one question per chapter. I think this was an excellent organization and made it easy to follow the train of thought. For any individual looking to gain a Sub, I would recommend this book. Even being on the opposite end of the spectrum, I found valuable advice in these pages.

I read the first book and I knew I had to read the second one! This book is heavily based around developing trust and it's a must have for any relationship, whether it's BDSM or not. It gives you examples and ideas of what to ask a person and develop a strong foundation of trust before you get down to business in the bedroom and how to make sure they're actually being fully honest with you. It even goes into ways to protect your privacy while you engage in the dom/sub or slavery role-play. Finding out how to make your partner the most comfortable and open with you is the key to any kind of successful and stable relationship, so it's definitely a recommended book if you're looking into BDSM or if you just want a few tips for when you're getting back in the dating field!

I bought this book for my husband but found it to be very helpful for both of us. As newbies in the world of BDSM this book was wonderful. It is filled with tons of questions to ask each other to learn more about what each person likes, dislikes, and expects during the experience. We learned what limits we have and got to talk about our fantasy's. Some questions and scenarios didn't apply to us because we are married but we used them for some fun role playing games.

An excellent source for any Dom or Mistress. A very in depth book giving you guidance on how to get to know your sub. Although the book is written from a male/doom perspective, the mistress can benefit from it as well. It provides with a list of questions you should ask your sub to get to know them, their needs and desires. It is important for any dom or mistress to know their sub in order to have a healthy bdsm relationship.

This is a great guide for Doms. The book describes scenarios if you're meeting someone online, tells you the right questions to ask and when to ask it. It's interesting to know that you are not supposed to ask someone how they look like in the first 30 minutes that you are talking to her because you'll make them feel judged. When this is probably one of the first questions a guy would ask.. The book will also tell you how to ask questions to get an honest answer and not make the other person feel offended. Being a great Dom means knowing your partner so well. The person's likes and dislikes, health, hard limits, etc and the book will guide you through all these question.

Some of the biggest things I got from this book are in this type of relationship, always make sure your partner is at the legal age. Some background checking on the partner to me is basically one of the main concerns. Communication is another key element into introducing yourself to a new willing partner! He or she must be healthy, willing, and definitely free of inhibitions when committing to a BDSM relationship. This book was definitely a good read. I would recommend it to everyone who has an open mind.

This book goes over an extensive list of questions that you should discuss with your sub and gives examples of responses and scenarios as well. Reading through all of these questions and thinking them over will allow you to get to know your sub better so that you know exactly what she is comfortable with and what you can expect as a Dom. Very informative.

This follow up book on sub training leaves off where the first one ended, by bringing up important questions regarding a new submissive. Some are straightforward, while others are more detailed and the reasons for asking them are explained with great detail by the author. It's almost like an interview in the way the questions are laid out, but as the author suggests they should be peppered into a more casual conversation. The book is a great guideline to get things started, and started right in a proper Dom/Sub relationship. It makes you think a little harder about everything that is involved with what can be such a structure relationship.
