Shopping for translations such as this title is very difficult on BN because you can't search by translator, and often, the translator ISN'T EVEN LISTED. I'm wishing the Montgomery translation were available in NookBook form and not just in the Apple Study edition, but this one's excellent.

The work is orignal is that it is one of the first, if not the first, combination book and slap stick comedy written in novel form. While the Don Quixote is unquestionably a classic, it is one of those rare classics that is poorly written. The "plot" is loose at best and while there are some parts that flow, for the most part the writting is "scattered" and poorly structured to the extent that it becomes difficult to follow even for the experienced and educated reader. Perhaps this lack of flow is a representation of Don Quixote himself, but it seems far more likely that it is simply a representation of poor authorship.
If you come across a free, or deeply discounted copy, I would recommend picking it up and giving it a try. Otherwise, skip it and move on to the next book on your wish list.
