Renée Fleming may be the only widely recognized name, and her duet with Nelly Miricioiu "Sì, son io" from Rosmonda d'Inghilterra is a soprano spectacular. But the other stars shine just as brightly: Yvonne Kenny and Anne Mason ...

But the other stars shine just as brightly: Yvonne Kenny and Anne Mason give a stirring performance of "Madre! deh placati!" from Emilia di Liverpool; Della Jones gracefully negotiates the stunning coloratura in an aria from Alfredo il Grande; and the list goes on. For any fan of bel canto opera, Donizetti Divas will be a welcome and often-revisited recording.
