Overview

There are always two sides to every story; Chase Jenkins knows that when it comes to men, her side is the only one that matters. She's got every Tom, Dick, and Harry wrapped around her finger, including her coworker's fiancé, Korey, who just can't get enough of her. He's fallen head over heels, but the insurmountable pressure that he puts her under becomes too much for this troublemaking, backstabbing diva to handle. When Korey gets too obsessive, Chase will do what she knows best, and quickly switch to plan B.

Plan B is Steven, who just happens to be married to Chase's boss. He's a different breed of man than the ones Chase is used to wrapping her legs around. At first, he's not interested in being her average Joe, but Chase believes that even he can be persuaded. Then again, maybe not. He'd better put up or shut up, because any changes in Chase's plan are bound to be detrimental to everyone involved.

    Nothing special

This is hands down my LEAST favorite book by Brenda Hampton. All the main character does is sleep with anyone she can get her hands on. Her excuse for this is that she was abused by her dad, she needs to go to something called THERAPY so she can keep her hands off of other women's men and let go of the past. This book was very point less and even with the "surprise" ending I was still very disappointed. This book is not full of drama but full of sex. I would recommend reading works by Carl Weber and reading Benda Hampton's Naughy series.

    Loving It!!!!!

Brenda Hampton is becoming one of my favorites because she NEVER lets you down. This book is definitely a page turner so if you have something to do finish it first and read this book second because you will not be able to do anything else until you have finished reading. I love the character Chase (the male Jaylin) and cannot wait for the next one! Keep it coming Brend Hampton!!!!!!! Grade: A

    Ladies, Watch Your Man!,

Just as with her previous titles, Brenda Hampton infuses her newest novel with a healthy dose of drama and sex. "Don't Even Go There" introduces readers to Chase Jenkins, a woman who knows what she wants and has no problem taking it, even from someone else. But her attitude and her actions quickly lead her to drama and possibly trouble.

Hampton offers an ambitious novel. Still, this reader was disappointed. Readers are made privy to some happenings in the main character's past as an explanation to her actions/attitude, but the surface is only scratched. Unfortunately, she was a character I couldn't fully embrace, either way. "Don't Even Go There" is a quick read as the pages are literally laced with drama. But it's that same drama that at time undermines the story.

Brenda Hampton is an extraordinary talent, and having read all her previous work, I found this one lacked a bit of luster in comparison. That said, I'm looking forward to her next novel.

    Good book with great DRAMA!

If you like drama, then you will love this book. Chase is a woman who knows what she wants and no one is going to keep her from getting it. She makes bad decisions, but I like her because she is willing to deal with the consequences of her actions. It is truly a page turner from cover to cover. The ending was good, but not as big as everyone was making it out to be. I am hoping that there will be a sequel to this book. Brenda Hampton is a GREAT writer and I am loving her book more and more everytime I pick one up. PLEASE don't leave me hanging on this one Brenda. I need another book, because I'm dying to see what my girl Chase is going to do next!

    JUICY

This was a quick read! The main character,Chase Jenkins needs help. There are definitely a lot of surprises in this book. I wish that there was more to the ending so I guess a sequel is in the making.

She knows no boundaries, HIDE YOUR MAN!

Chase Jenkins is an insecure, backstabbing, selfish and downright trifling female whose favorite type of man is UN-available. Chase will stop at nothing to get what she wants, whoever she wants, and boundaries mean nothing to her. If she wants your man she will go after him! Don't Even Go There is a very quick read because it has just enough drama to keep you intrigued, however, the book lacks real substance, thus I found it kind of disappointing. The author briefly touches on child abuse and domestic violence both of which are relevant to Chase's childhood, so at some point I kept expecting Chase to get some help because clearly those issues have had a big impact on her behavior as an adult. There were also a couple of characters that never fully evolve, so to speak, in this book. Perhaps Ms. Hampton will cover those issues in a sequel. I believe this was my first Brenda Hampton book and although I am not sure if I am interested in a sequel to this story, I was intrigued enough by the authors writing to want to read some of her other books. If you like (H-O-T) sex scenes and drama and want a quick read this is for you.
