Don't Fidget A Featherby Erica Silverman, S.D. Schindler (Illustrator)
Duck and Gander compete in a "freeze in place" contest--whoever moves first loses--and buzzing bees, bouncing bunnies, swarming crows, and whooshing winds test both contestants. But the real winner proves his mettle when Fox picks his prey.

After reading this book once to my son, I kept 'catching' him with it. He absolutely loves it. Of course, he kept insisting the fox put the gander in the crock pot!
This book is so much fund and such a treasure! It captures the spirit of a child's need for competition, has drama and celebrates the gift of friendship and courage. All this is told in a wonderful language and with delightful illustrations.
