be gone should be her last name

Obviously she is not a licensed hair professional, and can not be trusted, she does not have the knkowledge of professional products. Yeah cheaper products are going to make your hair feel softer, they are loaded with hwax and silicone that coat your hair, why do you think you pay so less for over the counter products?? It is why we get licensed to gain the knkowledge what is right for particular hair types, we are the doctors of the haircare world!!!

    A reviewer

well. this book is definitely handy but one thing the author has completely wrong is that expensive products are better than pantene pro-v. she fails to understand that although pantene will make your hair incredible soft and appear healthy after only one wash, it is PACKED with silicone which coats your hair. but also coats your scalp, creating buildup and possibly clogging follicles which could eventually lead to early hair loss. these 'expensive' products use expensive silicone-type products that do the same but in no way damage your hair, along with this the product works its way from the inside of your hair out. resulting in shiny healthy hair. not just a mask.

    A Must-Have

This book did for my hair what Begoun's book covering cosmetics and skin-care did for my skin: brought it back to life! With color-treated hair, my problem was stiff, brittle, dry hair. My stylist and colorist kept recommending different high-end salon-only products, which I foolishly purchased. Several hundred dollars later, my hair was in worse condition than ever. Enter Begoun's Hair Bible. After a quick perusal, it was easy to determine what the offending ingredients were and how to avoid them. A quick trip to the supermarket and less than five dollars spent, and now I have baby-soft hair. Amazing! She'll explain in easily understood terms what works and what doesn't. She'll give you the tools to steer clear of harsh products with highly inflated price tags. She'll explain why high price does not equal high value. She'll empower you with that most coveted of assets: information. Use it and you, too, will be singing praises to Paula Begoun.
