Twas the night before Christmas
and Noelle wanted so much,
just one burning night
of Mark's kisses and touch. Wearing nothing but a red bow. That's how social worker Noelle Bradenton wanted to find Chicago cop Mark Santori under her Christmas tree. Delicious Mark could jingle her bells any time, except he was investigating the disappearance of toys from the women's shelter where she worked. of Mark's kisses and touch. Wearing nothing but a red bow. That's how social worker Noelle Bradenton wanted to find Chicago cop Mark Santori under her Christmas tree. Delicious Mark could jingle her bells any time, except he was investigating the disappearance of toys from the women's shelter where she worked. And all signs point to the thief being St. Nick himself! Following a lead, Noelle and Mark set out for a town called Christmas to track down the Santa impersonator. With both of them staying at the Candy Cane Inn, Noelle had visions of naked Mark dancing in her head. And she doubted she'd be able to wait until Christmas morning to find out just what a delectable package Mark was....

Meet the Author

Leslie is a stay-at-home mother of three, who started writing as a creative outlet after one too many games of Chutes & Ladders. After meeting a group of other women with a similar interest in writing, she became part of a critique group and started spinning the story of a sexy radio D.J. That book, the first she ever wrote, was purchased off the slush pile by an editor at Harlequin Temptation.

Night Whispers (Harlequin Temptation #747) earned Leslie the NONA (Notable New Author of 1999) Award from OV-RWA, several Reviewer's Choice Awards, the award for "Best Romantic Suspense of 1999" from Romance Communications, second place in the Short Contemporary category for VCRW's Laurel Wreath Award for Excellence in Published Romance Fiction, and the National Reader's Choice Award for "Best Short Contemporary Romance of 1999."

Leslie's second book, Suite Seduction, was released in December 2000 as part of Harlequin Temptation's popular The Wrong Bed miniseries. It was recently named a finalist in the Colorado RWA's Award of Excellence competition. Her latest Harlequin Temptation, titled Relentless (August 2001) is part of the Heat miniseries.

Leslie is one of the founding members of SpacecoasT Authors of Romance (STAR) in Brevard County, Florida, and served as its first full-term president. She has presented workshops and programs at several writers' conferences and chapter meetings throughout Florida and Georgia, has appeared on television and radio talk show programs, and has judged writing contests from around the country.

Leslie's recent success has not distracted her from her main priorities: her husband of 15 years and her three youngdaughters.

    humorous passionate contemporary holiday romance

Noelle Bradenton detests Christmas because her memories are all bad. Her opinion is proven when apparently Santa Claus robs the donations given to the Give a Kid a Christmas that her center is running. Chicago Police Detective Mark Santori investigates the theft he also feels Yuletide is a downer as he finds the holiday season a big hypocrisy with the capitalists owning the season. The robbery fits into his mood this is an all time low in disgusting human behavior with some Scrooge stealing from needy little kids. --- As Mark investigates the theft, he and Noelle are attracted to one another. Noelle figures sex with the cop will be the perfect present for her while he dreams of unwrapping her clothing as the ideal Christmas Eve activity. Neither expected to want the other permanently under a mistletoe, but who will open the box filled with love first. --- This humorous passionate contemporary holiday romance is fun to read because of the antics of the 'bah humbug' lead duet. Each rejects Christmas until they meet one another and begin to see little miracles all around them. Fans will want to open this terrific blazing inspirational tale long before Christmas arrives. --- Harriet Klausner
