What a fantastic book. I was completely caught up in the story from the first page. I had to know Julia's story! Nice mix of romance and suspense. I highly recommend it!

Great romantic mystery, not at all predictable. The writing was good and the ending was very satisfying and surprising.

I was very disappointed with this book! I read the reviews and was really looking forward to getting started. I had to force myself to continue reading, the writing itself was kind of lame...corny...I don't know how else to say it. Might appeal to a much younger audience. I've been reading for over 1/2 of my life and I like a book with more substance (as far as the writing). The story was ok, but it kind of felt like I had borrowed a book from my daughter (if I had one) or a teen-age friend?! Not that I don't like love and suspense but if your wanting something to immerse yourself in...this is not it!

but then gets really cheesy. I became very annoyed w/main character, Julia. I don't understand why the author felt compelled to make her talk constantly...and say the strangest things. I don't know, I thought the story/plot was really good, but I didn't enjoy the small talk throughout the book. I felt a lot was unneccesary and out of place. It was like Julia was just talking for the sake of talking and most of it didn't fit with what was going on in her life. This book is long so it just grated on me about half-way through. oh well. others seem to enjoy so to each his own :)

Barbara Freethy style lends itself to be a a good, entertaining read with plots that have interesting twists and turns. So set yourself up in a comfy chair and relax with a good read.

Barbara Freethy did an excellent job building both the storyline and the characters in Don't Say A Word. It was a quick read but I was sad when it was done. This is my second Freethy book and they have both been excellent. I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

It was sooo good! I couldnt put it down! I loved this book so much! The only complaint i have is that the ending seemed a little sudden and abrupt at first, but after a couple of seconds, it doesnt feel all that sudden anymore. Its all good. I LOVED this book!

I read it in three days and enjoyed every bit of it. Kept me very involved and interested. I plan to read more by Barbara Freethy and you can't beat the prices of all of her books.

Best book I've read in awhile! It would make a fantastic movie. Hooked me on page one.

Although i tend to like books with a bit more "meat" or substance to them, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was "light", an easy, yet interesting read. Not too taxing on the brain. You know, sometimes that's all you want or need! I liked the twists and turns (although I knew who the bad guy was way before he was revealed)...I liked the main characters...i found them believable , although sometimes their conversations were corny....if you want a good, interesting, book but not one that is "deep" and "intellectual", what i would call a great beach or vacation book, this is the one!!

This book started out good, kept you hooked and wanting to find out everything about the characters. Barbara Freethy does a great job of developing the story along with the characters. A must read!

Unique mystery and plot. The story leads to new revolations as the mystery unfolds that change the life of the heroine. I found it hard to put the book down and enjoyed reading it.
