I first became aware of Journey in the earlier 80's, from radio play and the advent of their (MTV) videos. Yes, frontman Steve Perry drew us in like moths to a flame with his vocals and Journey had a magic about them like no other band I've seen but if(besides that)you are curious about the behind the scenes stories that drove their huge success, this is your book. If you are seeking a snarky tell-all, this is NOT your book. Being up to date on their current lineup,I will confess I read the book from end to beginning, in that order. I came away with an even greater respect for the amazing talents that have contributed to Journey past and present, on both music and business levels.
