    What is the book about?

Eva LeRoy is the town librarian and another single parent that has been turned vampire in the town of Broken Heart, OK. Not much has changed with her lifestyle, even her teenage daughter seems to be okay with her mother's new lifestyle.
Eva is trying her best to keep a positive outlook on things, at least her stretch marks and crows feet have suddenly disappeared. The only downfall is she has to sleep in the basement of her home, that doubles as the town library.

Eva isn't even upset that Lorcan O'Halloran has turned her into a vamp, she understands that he was sick from the virus, but Lorcan is having a difficult time forgiving himself as he mopes around town.

What did I think of the book?

Another funny and romantic story by Bardsley. She hooked me in when I read her first book, and now I'm addicted. I can't wait to read the rest of the series, to see how all the single parents in Broken Heart are coping with becoming a vampire. I promise this is a series you must start!

    LOVE THIS SERIES!

I was a bit skeptical starting this series, but it only took several pages to get me hooked, I flew through all of the books and am now impatiently waiting for the next to come out (Sep. 2011). If you like vampires, werewolves & mythical/magical creatures, these books are for you cause they have it all, as well as some great humor.

    Loved it.

This book is a great edition to the Broken Heart Series . I laughed and cried with this book. I must have started this review at least 5 times and still cant properly describe how this book made me feel.It tackles a very tough issue with facing ones mortality and lack there of . A topic that is very hard to do without messing up your story. Michele Bardsley did a fantastic job! You must read it to understand fully.

    I loved this Book

I am a big fan of Maryjanice Davidson and I was waiting on hers to arrive and decided to read this until then....I had a great time reading this book!! I have read the first one of this series (I'M THE VAMPIRE THAT'S WHY), and I loved that one as well.
These books are great because they tie all the characters from the other books in with the recent ones without taking anything away from one another...Very funny and suspensful.....overall a great read for Vampire fans

    A reviewer

In this second installment of Michele Bardsley's Broken Heart OK Vamp series, The main characters are the town librarian (newly turned vampire) Evangeline learning that she can communicate with animals. And the vampire that murdered her. Talk about an interesting couple. Lorcan has never gotten over the fact that he caused harm to anyone let alone a entire town. A loner, peace loving writer and historian at heart. A great story of self forgiveness mixed with a nice bit of romance. Loved it!

Delicious blend of humor and horror

Wonderfully entertaining second installment in Bardsley's vampire series, this time focusing on the romance between local librarian and newly turned vampire, Evangeline, and the 4000 year old vamp, Lorcan the Lonely. The characters are engagingly genuine and quirky as they tackle all manner of paranormal obstacles. Bardsley's style is reminiscent of the tv show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as she seamlessly joins fantasy, drama, comedy and horror. Loved it!
