Don't You Just Hate That?: 738 Annoying Things

Great humor will make anyone laugh.

Very, very funny, and I still haven't finished it. So far, though, I haven't found anything about driving next to someone driving the same car as yours, only to find yourself embarrassed of how much nicer and well-kept their car is than yours. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants a good laugh. It's funny, I have it sitting on the shelf in my bathroom for anyone to see the cover and either enjoy it --- or find out there's no toilet paper left on the roll, and notice the book with the giant words saying, 'Don't you just hate that?' with a picture of a finished toilet paper roll at the bottom.

I Laughed, I Cried, It Was Better Than 'Cats!'

I picked this book up in a very crowded bookstore and proceeded to laugh to so hard, I actually cried. I bought it on the spot and within days, my boyfriend returned to said store to purchase his own copy because we couldn't share the one we had. It is the only book we have ever had that requires we parcel out just a page or two a day in order to retain the tid bits (and the enjoyment) for as long as possible. Cohen has succinctly and precisely nailed that which makes us most human, the little details in life which require pause. I have now given this book to three pepole I know and they have eached loved it as well. I can't wait till his next book.

I've read this book while stuck in heinous LA traffic. Just as the book makes humor out of pain, my commute became an enjoyable experience. I found myself taking the out-of-the-way exit so I would be able to finish it before getting to work.

This book is dead on - exposes life's annoyances in an amusing way. Mr. Cohen spins laughter out of pain. Also, it's a great ice breaker at a party.

Very derivative

This concept was done much better and funnier in the '1,401 Things That P*ss Me Off' series of books by I.M. Peeved. The original stuff is always better; the wanna-be's are always second-rate, like this book. Don't you just hate that??

If only 6 STARS were on option

I'm still laughing as I recall the witty, clever style in this pocket full of make-you-laugh-anytime humor. This author has moved beyond everyday nuances to shed insight on life's unexpectingly annoying humor. I've experimented by casually sharing this book with friends, colleagues and family and have found that it's a guaranteed laugh, anytime, for anyone. This book makes a perfect little gift.

Clever anecdotes that are right on the money

You know those books that give bogus reasons to be happy, or not to sweat small stuff? Well, this book points out all the things in life which are unavoidable realities. Some make you think, some make you cringe, but all of them are hilarious and dead on. I found that at least 90% of the ones I read related to me in some way, and my wife thought the same thing about herself, which is pretty incredible considering the depth of the details and the silly direction some take. I think that is what makes this book stand out -- it encompasses an element of Seinfeld, in that it points out the 'annoying' things in life we must deal with all the time and don't even think about, yet gives a much more personal touch (which is why it works perfect as a little humor book to read by yourself at any time). I carry it around with me, it's really great.

This Book is NOT Annoying

I am proud to live in America again. Where you can walk into someone's bathroom or check out their coffee table again without seeing 14,000 Things to be HAPPY about or Life's Instruction Book. Now we have a choice. For those of you who see things a little bit different, some might say twisted, a book for you (and me) is finally here. You'll be amazed at some of the observations in this book.

you need to own this book

i happened upon this book while reading to my baby while in b+n (we kill time there) and i was laughing out loud. the clever insights and ADD layout is the perfect formula for a good laugh. i ended up buying 3 of them because they are such good gifts for all of my depressed friends. awesome. i want more....

Very Funny Book!

My wife gave me this book for my birthday. It is the funniest book I've read all year! The author captures all of the annoying things in life that we've all experienced, but never thought to write down. If you like to laugh get this book.

legit Seinfeld humor

Now that Seinfeld is gone, there are about 72 million wannabes trying to fill the 'don't you hate it when...' void. 99.9% of them lack wit and coherence; Scott Cohen is a rare exception. The depressing realities he points out are obvious but not, if that makes any sense. You'll find yourself agreeing with him - that is, when you're not laughing. Highly recommended, both as something to leave on the coffee table as well as a gift.

Funny, Funny, Funny

Did I mention funny? This book really cracks me up. It's a list book, so I've been picking it up periodically when I have moments. I bought it last night and have been reading it on and off non-stop. I've already completed a third of the book. Everytime I scoot off, I find myself going back to it.

If you find this book funny you need a life

This book is cheesy. Not even one thing on it was funny.Don't waste your money on it.

Wow! What a breath of fresh air on the literary scene. A book for everyone, written with wit and style. This book is such a big hit with everyone who comes to our home to visit. Everyone picks it up off the coffee table and can't help but read of a few points, giggling the whole time. Great stuff!

Don't You Just Love This...

When I saw this book in the store, I was already particularly annoyed... so I bought it. Laughed so much I found myself reading passages to strangers on the subway. Pretty funny stuff. Great conversation starter.

Finally! A Book Everyone Can Appreciate!

The author of this book has hit it right on the mark! All of his observations are so real ¿ yet each point has not been truly appreciated until now. If you¿re looking for something which will enable you to laugh with absolutely anyone, this is the book to buy!
