More About This Book

Overview

Record a Story: Dora the Explorer, Exploring Memories enables children to enjoy the thrill of hearing their own recorded voices reading the story on the pages of the book they have in their hands. It also enables family and friends to read a story to children even when they are miles apart. Grandparents and other special people in a child's life can create a personal memento to share when they can't be there in person. Children can enjoy this keepsake storybook again and again.

Record a Story books from Publications International, Ltd., come with a built-in audio recorder. Press one button and begin recording the words on a page. The recorder knows which page is open and records your voice for that page. Each time a child turns the page, a musical tune plays, and the child hears a voice—his or her own or a loved one's—reading that page. The recording can be erased at any time and replaced by a new recording.

Record a Story: Dora the Explorer, Exploring Memories takes children through many of Dora the Explorer's favorite experiences. Read about and record these Dora adventures:

• Dora and her friends helping save the Snow Princes from a mean witch.

• Dora and Boots discovering The City of Lost Toys

• Dora's first adventure, when she meets Boots, Tico, Isa, Benny, and Swiper.

Record a Story: Dora the Explorer, Exploring Memories is ideal as a keepsake gift for children from out-of-town grandparents and other relatives, a parent who travels frequently, and military personnel assigned to a faraway land.

A great gift for a child who does not live nearby!

I purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my great granddaughter, who lives 250 miles away. Needless to say, I don't get to see her too often, and I feel this is a great way to "stay in touch" with her. Her mom says she currently loves Dora, so that was the book I chose of those recordable book offered on the net. Her grandmother will give it to her when she returns home after the new year, and I'm sure she will enjoy it.
