"Quirky, irreverent and laugh-out-loud hilarious, Rhonda Nelson speaks my language!" --New York Times bestselling author Vicki Lewis Thompson

Vintage Rhonda Nelson! Though Rhonda is known more recently for her sexy, romantic comedies she began her career writing funny, heart-warming romance for Kensington's Precious Gems line. The books were only sold in Wal-Mart and spent less than a month on the shelves. Now, thanks to the wonderful world of digital publishing, they're available again.

Runaway bride Louisa Honeycut is looking for a quick escape when she passes the Double Dare, Inc sign and the slogan "Are you ready for the time of your life?" seems like divine intervention. Sheltered by her overbearing father, Louisa has years of catching up to do and can think of no better person than gorgeous Sam Rawlins to show her. Is she ready for the time of her life? Hell, yes.

Ordinarily unflappable adventure guide Sam Rawlins makes his living showing the wealthy how to have fun, but nothing in his experience could have prepared him for the "adventure" Louisa Honeycut asks for. He might be showing Louisa the time of her life, but the quirky little snack-cake heiress is soon turning Sam's own life upside down...and perversely, he likes the new vantage point.

Loved this book. It was a romantic book. It took me two days to read and I couldn't put it down.
Its about love and adventure. A girls about to get married leaves the arranged marriage during the wedding to seek adventure and indepenance from her father. Falls in love and has a list of this to complete before going home!
    For teens and older.
Great book. Just really simple writting but easy to understand.

I dare you to read it :)

    Awesome read

I got this book mainly because it was free. When i started reading it the story just took me away. I was laughing at lots of things that was going on with the main character. Funny and romantic all at the same time. The "I'm not sure thing" between the main characters was very realistic i'm sure everyone has been there at some point in there life. I would defintely re-read this book as well as recommend this to other people.

    Nice romance

This is a nicely written romance. The plot is predictable, but written in such a pleasing way that you don't care. A perfect read for a quiet afternoon.

    R-rated. Buyer beware.

Cute story, but would have been more enjoyable without the detailed sex, which I had to skip over. If you are looking for a clean read, this isn't it.

    3.5 stars.

What I Liked: I absolutely loved the humor in Double Dare. This was a fun and quirky off-the-wall read that, for the most part, was very enjoyable. I also liked the pacing. As the story started, I really liked the main characters Sam and Lou… but not for long unfortunately.

What I Disliked: I didn't care for Lou by the 25% mark. And I didn't feel she was deserving of a HEA. She was too selfish and childish to appreciate it IMO. Sam was a little better, but I thought he was a tool ultimately. Now, what I really really didn't like (and was a huge tipping point in regards to the lower score) was the atrocious editing. I have never seen such a horrible display of improper word usage before. Whoever the author used to proofread Double Dare needs to be fired… or something, because this was seriously B.A.D. Not at first, but certainly in the last 35%. For that reason, I'll probably be a little apprehensive about trying anything from this author again. And finally, the ending seemed too abrupt and way too tidy. Sam and Lou will probably need divorce lawyers before their one-year anniversary.

Final Analysis: Double Dare was enjoyable despite the negatives. It was a nice escape, that had me laughing out loud several times. Light-hearted, fast-paced and a good story. Had it been properly edited, I feel it would have been a 4.5 stars.

    Parts are hilarious...

... this one part had me laughing so hard my husband came over to find out what was so funny... really, really liked it. Very cute and quirky. Still rate it 5 stars with the errors...

    Free

I liked the storyline however I do think it could have been a little smoother in some places. I received this free on my nook. The Barnes and Noble clerk said some free books are rough drafts. This could be true by reading this book. If you can look over all the small errors you may enjoy this book.
