About the Author

A native of Southern California, Lynn Miller grew up near the port of Los Angeles. While still a teenager, he worked summers at his dad's Customhouse Brokerage firm in San Pedro. The job frequently put him in business contact with ship's captains from non-English speaking countries, and introduced him to the colorful language of the water-front. At fourteen, he read For Whom The Bell Tolls, and that began his love of writing.

After studying architecture at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and design at Art Center College, he was thrust into the ranks of Summa Corporation, the inconspicuous but formidable umbrella organization that controlled Howard Hughes' global empire prior to Hughes' death. From there, his career went international.

When overseas projects with no budget limits started to wind down, Lynn went back to his first love, writing, and renovating houses. His favorite rehab was a two-and-a- half year renovation of a 14,000 s.f. house sited on six acres. The residence had been heavily vandalized and was less than half complete at the time of purchase. Before he started writing full time eighteen months ago, he assisted a small group of high-end art collectors who came to him for his ability to deliver undetectable art and sculpture restoration.
