Overview

Two sisters. One disaster.

First things first: I’m the bad twin. While my sister, Marcia, has the perfect family in the perfect suburb, I’ve been making my living as an Internet advice columnist and designing Web sites in my downtown loft. I always thought I had the right answer - and hair color - for any occasion. That is, until Marcia ran up loads of debt and ran out on her husband and kids, and I was left helping to pick up the pieces. Her husband, James, is a lawyer who I hate on principle alone.

But for a guy who’s just lost his job, his marriage, and his expensive toys, he’s keeping it together - and making me rethink my feelings toward him. It’s not that he’s traded in his conservative suits for sexy jeans. It’s that he’s not giving up what’s important to him, and oh baby, I’m a sucker for a guy who hangs tough.

That doesn’t mean I’m ready to step into Marcia’s designer shoes now that she’s gone AWOL.

And it doesn’t mean I’m going to fall for James’s easy charm...not again, anyhow. Besides, I’ve had a lifelong policy of not being mistaken for my twin and I’m not backing down on that one now - no matter how convenient it might be for a certain sexy (and persuasive) man...

    Good book for free

This was a pretty good book for being free. Over 800 pages whichI loved. Hate getting books to onlly have the be under 100 pages. Once I got into it did't want to put it down. The author rambles on at time and gives a lot of useless info and it is hard to follow at other times cause not all info is given but keep reading cause it all does come together in the end. Good book especially for free

    Good but...

This was a pretty good book. The plot was interesting, well written from a first person perspective which you rarely see nowadays, plus it had its funny moments. I gave it only three stars because the author added a lot of unnecessary information. As another reader stated, I found myself skipping pages just so I wouldn't have to read all that fluff. Also I felt Maralys's character was just too sarcastic, I mean I understand it was sort of her defense mechanism but it just bordered on mean and insensitve. Outside of that it was a good read, but the author should edit out all of the unecessary fluff....

    797

796 pages. This was decently written. In first person narrative and a very talky internal dialogue. It deducted stars because i felt like i had to flip ahead sometimes

    Back stabbing twin

At first I didn't think I would like this story. You could tell something was going on with the brother-in-law and twin sister, as a sister I was ready to trash it but, I keep reading, I enjoyed it only wish it would have gone on just a bit more, oh I forgot you have to buy the other two books to find out what happen to the (mother) twin.

    Worst book ever!

This was the worst book I've ever read! I wasted 2 1/2 hours for nothing. The author could have done without the "Aunt Mary's" and the unnecessary information.

    Very annoying (-__-)

I could not get past the 3rd chapter. I thought the plot was interesting so I decided to read it. But the main character is really annoying. She takes her sarcasm too far, and when shes trying to be funny...its usually not all that funny. Shes a rude nearly 40 year old woman living like shes 18. Most importantly she often rambles on & on about irrelevant stuff. Overall the book was just too slow for me to finish reading.

    Great read

This was a great read and even somewhat hard to put down for wanting to know what happened next. Love the author's sense of humor! The author delves into the characters with a lot of depth but no tedium. I also loved that it was a very long book with plenty of time to tell the full story instead of the usual trunkated '280 pages.' The only bad thing was she needs a proof reader, lots of typos and missing conjunctions. Would definitely love to read more by this author!

    Better Than I Expected

Wasnt sure I would like this book but I was definitely pulled in. Immediately I noticed the sexual tension between James and Maralys but even I never imagined where the story would take them.. I had to keep reading bc I was cheering for them and then the story took a turn I never expected. Good book, held my attention for sure.
