About the Author

Joe Blevins is a Christian author and illustrator. His works celebrate the basic values that we hold dear. Children see many positive role models that encourages them to read. You will enjoy the new adventures of some sweet animals. Joe illustrates his works and soon the stories unfurl from the artworks. Joe worked as a teacher for eleven years at three different school districts.He worked from elementary ages to high school levels. Joe saw that many children needed help in the early stages of their reading progress. Blevins was also involved with various reading programs.(HOST, STARS, and ROAST programs.) During this time he saw that some books worked better with young readers and some books weren't as appropriate for those with learning difficulties. Joe grew up with a learning difficulty so he knows how it affects a young child. He overcame this as an adult. Not everyone learns the same way. Joe sought to write his books using all the positive aspects that most children need, today. He also uses his brightly colored and interesting illustrations to keep children motivated to read. Larger print helped for children (and adults) to be motivated to read to each other. Joe uses fun events he sees and some animals that he knows that are some great characters. His characters are always fun: and full of mischief, sometimes!
