Having played things ultra-safe on his first two recordings for the label, the flutist/keyboardist improves dramatically by taking a few more chances here. Fans of the light, perky fare on his previous releases will be satisfied with sweet gems like "Don't Hide Your Heart," but anyone looking for real action will gravitate towards the more slick and urban oriented pieces. He's able to display a more aggressive side without sacrificing the hooks which provide the real punch.
