I am VERY surprised to be the first person writing a review of this very well-written story!
"Doug: The Despised Angel" is an up-lifting - and cautionary - story about a cross-segment of people who are about to pass from this life to the next. And, while not a theologian, I saw nothing in its writing that is contradictory to my Faith. I am willing to bet that there have been times people have been visited, prior to their deaths. And who is to say that it was not an "angel of transformation" - possibly even "Doug."
While I do not keep most of my Kindle books (once they have been read), this one will be an exception. This story is a good reminder that "from dust we came and to dust we shall return." And I think that the author very accurately captured how differently people will/do respond to the "final call."
