Overview
Douglas MacArthur became one of the nation's youngest generals during World War I. He was the commander of all of the U.S. troops in the Pacific during World War II and eventually became the Supreme Allied Commander in the Pacific. In the aftermath of the war, he helped Japan to rebuild, establishing a new constitution, giving food to the hungry and securing rights for the people.
