    This is Great!

Sukether, this is Great! I read ya book today! Excellent !! A very vivid and personal account of the Katrina saga that comes directly from the heart of a 'survivor'. You really put this one 'together'! Lots of Wisdom... very colorful. .. I can see, smell and taste the images and feelings that you convey in your writing.

    Thought provoking must read.

Sukether Williams is a inspiration to all and especially those who survived Katrina. I was inspired by her poetic genius. The poems Lines, and Down, but not out! gave voice to the resolute spirit of those of us who choose to stay, fight and recover all. God Bless you and continued success on your future endeavors. I am sure OPRAH will be calling soon.

    Positively uplifting

Although I did not lose my home to Katrina, I have experienced an immeasurable sadness for my beloved New Orleans.Down But Not Out provides strength as well as humor during our long recovery. Anyone needing an uplift will thoroughly appreciate Simmons's book.

    A keepsake

¿Down But Not Out¿ is a compilation of pose and short stories written by an accomplished writer who has brilliantly shared her story of survival, revival, hope and despair, written with the same clarity, passion and at times humor found in her previous books, ¿From the Corners of My Mind¿ and ¿Deep in My Soul¿. A wonderful gift and keepsake. A must read, must have book!

    A must read!

Ms. Simmons uses poetry to recap her personal experience with Katrina. It is thought provoking, artistic and humbling. A real account of what happened in New Orleans and how she and her family were 'Down But Not Out.' This is a must read!I have purchased all three of Ms. Simmon's books. 'Down But Not Out' is the best!

As a Katrina survivor myself, I am enthralled at the opportunity to read my very thoughts in print. Sukether Simmons has written a thought-provoking and emotional baring book. I recommend this to everyone-to those who've survived Katrina and those who want to know how it feels from an insider's perspective
