    So, so....

This is a novella, but it feels more like a stretch of an epilogue recounting Lacey's wedding plans and struggles to get pregnant and adopt a baby. It was quite cheesy and predictable at times to the point that I skimmed through paragraphs to get it over with. Some scenes fell like fillers and did not add much to the story. Not worth the money and time.

I was so excited to read more about Lacey and Galen, and Down the Aisle did not disappoint!  This is just what a good novella should be - good character development, believable and fast-paced plot, fun dialogue and a satisfying ending.  Sure, it is slightly predictable, but Ms. Bell's characters are so enjoyable and the dialogue is so fun and sassy that it is more than enough.  This novella dealt with a serious issue that I'm sure many women and couples can relate to.  I thought the conflict for Lacey and Galen, individually, and what it meant to their relationship was serious, emotional and well done.  As always, there was still some comedic gold in there.  And I love the set-up for the next story in the series -- hot, hot, hot!  Christine Bell is and auto-buy author for me.  I'd recommend starting this series from the beginning with Down for the Count, then Down and Dirty. But go ahead and pick up another book or three by Ms. Bell while you're at it!

    ## I think this book was a complete waste of time and money. With the second thoughts and other issues, I felt like the wedding was forced. Apprx 65 pages.

The romance of Galen & Lacey is one for the ages.

While you probably don’t have to read Down for the Count, I think your reading pleasure would be greatly enhanced if you did. Reading Down the Aisle reminded me how much I LOVE Galen Thomas and Lacey Garrity. Their love story is truly one for the ages.

With the possibly of having to spend her life with Galen childless, Lacey isn’t sure she can go through with the wedding. She’s afraid that at some point Galen will resent her for them not having children. But it’s up to Galen to show her that their love can conquer all things. And he does that in spades.

The book starts off being very funny. But then it takes a serious turn. Don’t worry, there are still some hot moments in it. I really liked this book and I wanted it to continue. But on the plus side, a new potential couple gets introduced and from the eye daggers flying and challenges made, they are going to be hotter than hot. Can’t wait for more of this series..

Oh, the heartbreaking angst in this one! Watching Lacey try to carry a devastating secret all alone so as not to "ruin" the wedding day and honeymoon for Galen was painful to read. Poor Galen--he can tell that Lacey is pulling away, but doesn't know exactly why, nor does he know what to do about it. They were killing me with the drama--in a good way. Being a romance novel, I was fairly certain there'd be a HEA of some sort at the end, but yikes, there were some pretty dark moments along the way to it.

Galen has his own secret, though, and that's what will bring on the happy ending. (Phew!) It was a bit on the short, sweet, and sudden side, but as it's a novella, that tends to be par for the course. For fans of the series, Down the Aisle will give a satisfying glimpse into the lives of the couples from both books one and two, and show you the direction that book three will be taking. (Can't wait to read it! Courtney and Rafe's story sounds like all kinds of smexy fun.) If you haven't read the rest of the series yet, you're definitely going to want to--pronto.

In a nutshell: Angsty glimpse into the future lives of series characters. A quick but satisfying ending. A- rating.

This is a short novella by Christine Bell. Although I did not read the previous story Down For the Count about Galen and Lacy it didn’t stop me from enjoying the story. As Lacy and Galen are preparing for their upcoming wedding they run into a problem-infertility.

Even though Galen and Lacy are madly in love the infertility is taking a tool on their relationship. One day Galen gives her a photo album and shows her a picture of a baby that will be theirs. They were approved for adoption.

We are also introduced to two characters Rafe and Courtney. They have good chemistry and have a lot of promise as a couple. Overall, this was a short but fun and sweet read.

    Great!!

I really enjoyed Down the Aisle by Christine Bell. To begin with, Brazen covers are really hot and this one fits in perfectly with the imprint. Ms. Bell tackles the serious problem of a couple dealing with infertility in a wistful and caring way. The tenderness and compassion that Galen exudes is truly heartfelt and beautifully written. Lastly, I found the ending slightly predictable, however, it is exactly how I hoped it would conclude.

This is a well conceptualized novella. It is a fast-paced sexy romance with a realistic plot that many woman can identify with. I found the characters well-developed and engaging, especially within the confines of a short-story. The chemistry and love between Lacey and Galen is passionate, in addition to being lighthearted and playful. The love scenes are beyond sizzling. If you are looking for a quick, romantic read with an original plot, give this novella a try!
