    Inspirational Story for Women

I'm not a cyclist and did not expect this book to interest me, but it did. (My husband is a cyclist and picked up the book at a local book signing.) Marla has a great story to tell, something women who 'swim upstream' in sports or career can appreciate. She made a choice to pursue a career in cycling when she was almost thirty and had been working as a scientist for years. Her writing needs some work, but if you can look past the occasional flowery passage, you'll find an inspirational tale of a woman who took a chance and made a career out of something she loved to do with hard work and business smarts. This is about knowing yourself and finding your path to success, not the technical aspects of downhill mountainbiking. You'll enjoy this story of 'succeeding against the odds' whether you are into cycling or not.
